Can the preferences menu be locked down via the customisation wizard? I've discovered that students can access Internet Options and other various bits through there and would like to lock it if possible.

We have a few TV screens around school, showing custom content depending on which area the TV is in. We have micro HP PCs connected to each TV and Xibo/web server actually sits on one of them PCS. We then log in using the ipaddress/xibo and edit away. I've not gone as far as making it easy enough for office staff etc to access but I just get them to send me any info at the moment for me to put on the screen. Only takes a couple of minutes through the interface.

This just outputs the image with the embedded BGinfo.. so far I'm not seeing any of my machine information being put on the desktop. Also I had to run proxy settings for the file to run. Once the image is displayed on the background, the edges are being cut off, so I can't get full bginfo information anyway.

It all went down Monday morning during a session and we got the same error. Seems like a woeful system. Our current issue is that some students can't take the test because clicking a traffic light fails to load the exam.

Sorry to drag up an old thread. Has anyone experienced an issue where the students goes to take the exam (presses the traffic light) but it fails to load and takes them back again?

Another Xibo fan here. There's nothing else like it for free!

IT WORKS. It was an outdated connect.ini file that hadn't been replaced after the recent SIMS upgrade! Thanks!!

We have a scheduler in xporter, which should have run overnight but failed. Same happens when its run manually. We are giving them a ring later in the day so let's see what fun this brings!

Sorry to drag up an old thread... We use Xporter to get data from SIMS to MLS. Now MLS hasn't picked up the new year 7s. If I run the file in xporter, it says running but nothing seems to happen. Has anyone had any experience with this?

The XIBO clients are windows applications that sit on Windows 7 installations. Internet options have been altered to use 801 on those machines but no joy. In XIBO, there is a part where you can put proxy information however this is only username , password and domain. We run the installation using Apache via XAMPP, wondering if proxy information needs to be with that too.

Sorry to drag up an old post, we have a similar issue but with Domain Hits. We have XIBO set up for digital signage and running two screens produces approximately 250,000 hits per 24 hours. Is there anyway we can exclude this result from the list and/or logs. We have tried putting the machines affected under different proxy settings (port 801) but it still appears on the dashboard.
