Anyone having issues today?

Signed up fine for this until it tries to match your location to where you are on a map so you can watch a film. Never seems to locate me close enough to where I am which is odd.

Has anyone discussed this? Remote assistance with Quick Assist is changing (office.com) Microsoft's replaces bundled Quick Assist app with Microsoft Store version - gHacks Tech News Current version of Quick Assist is being retired next week and you have to download a Store version which requires Admin to install. It seems the current version will simply switch off next week and you will be redirected to the store. We've not had to use it much since Lockdown ended however it was very handy. Are there any simple similar apps that don't require admin in case of emergencies? (apart from Teamviewer)

I just bought 3000 luna for £1 just to see what all this crypto stuff is about. Using crypto.com so it's basically a buy and sell exchange. Interesting and murky world where currency can rise 30% in a day then crash 60% like Luna did on Saturday.

Hi all Is anyone having issues connecting to cpanel (bluehost) through a BT connection? Ongoing throughout the weekend and still doing it. Just times out whenever I try to connect through a School connection. Works fine elsewhere. Getting nowhere with anyone vaguely responsible. Thanks

Hi all One of our Staff has come to me saying after the Easter break they need a program called Thonny installing for all pupils. Great notice there. Thonny, Python IDE for beginners Has anyone ever deployed this or used it on a network? Is it something that should be run in a sandbox? I did suggest the various online python IDE platforms however apparently they need to use a program as the exam spec requires "file writing".

Slightly different take but wanting Schools to have amazing broadband connections by 2025 AND expanding Oak academy to become more integrated in Education to provide lessons from a central location....I'd be slightly cautious if I was a high paid teacher! Anyway...We're just a 100mb High School at the moment. 1gig would be nice.

From what I've seen in Meraki, you can specify it to always connect to a certain SSID, but it doesn't tie them down to one so you can easily pick and choose a different Wifi connection. Last time I checked, if you tried anything like hiding Settings app etc, it throws a wobbler.

For future reference what I did was... log on the machine as admin right click word and run as admin change key (even if its existing key) close word and reopen to prompt activation box activate and should be all good It seems the feature update from 1909 to 21H2 was causing Office to reactivate and it was getting stuck.

Did you or anyone ever solve this? Done feature update from 1909 to 21H2 and every Office app now has the same 0xc0000142 error. Fresh installs of 21H2 are fine.

I have these types of laptops and experienced exactly the same issue however it only did it as admin and not for a normal roaming profile user so just left it at that! All manner of installing drivers etc never rectified it though and I assume its an inherent issue.

Just setup as a domain PC, wired in.

I guess that much like PDQ is an alternative to WSUS, Smartdeploy is an alternative to MDT. If you already have an MDT setup and are happy then there's no point moving.

I used Smartdeploy a few years ago, approx 2016 and I found it very hit and miss. Apart from it automatically grabbing drivers, I don't see the benefit in moving from my current WDS/MDT/PDQ setup.
