ITGuyNW replied to _techie_'s topic in Windows 10
To add to this, I have installed it this morning and it pushes the new Edge on. So be aware. -
Yeah I'm fully prepared for it to be an ignored piece of paper haha

Hi all We have got our first Laptop Trolley. I'm writing some rules to place on top of it. Any handy pointers from anyone? I've got the usual chargers must be plugged in when in the Trolley etc Thanks!

Anyone dared to try the April patch yet? Has the printing issue been resolved? The last time I saw anything, the patch they released was recalled. -
YES! and they too are saying it's our problem. We have also been having lots of issues with anything using login.microsoftonline.com going up and down too. Do we think its a BT Lancs issue or Renaissance for AR?

I woke up the morning of my AZ jab with a sore throat. Went anyway as they said I would be fine. Had a cold for probably 3 or 4 days after. Not sure if the jab made it worse or not. All good now. Next one in June. -
I push all updates out through PDQ. I don't have WSUS installed, I just keep track of what gets released and when.

So what are peoples experiences since installing 1648? I haven't installed any of these latest updates generally but I'm just testing one laptop with it now with a Ricoh printer and it seems fine.

I'm looking at home backup stuff too. Ideally to somewhere online but when I tried the "simple" solution of Googles own backup and sync it was very unreliable.

I've done it via powershell before now Uninstall Windows Update with PDQ Deploy – Support

Just like they do with torrent sites but then the next day the same website appears with another 3 letter ending and the ISPs have to go to court again and again and again and again
-
All fine for me, completed the form and got the email.

I use Google Pay. You need to unlock your phone to spend over £45 which I think is a good compromise.

Ideas for a Staff and Student knowledge base area
ITGuyNW replied to maxrebo's topic in How do you do....it?
I'm looking at making one for internal use only as most of our queries seem to be connection issues or how to initially connect. -
Have you gotten rid of IE11 yet?
ITGuyNW replied to Jaan's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
Nope as Windows 10 seems to still to rely on it and Internet Options for various things. -
Hi all, I have successfully deployed ActivInspire via PDQ Deploy, however does anyone know how to deploy the Resource pack (the one you import through ActivInspire) from the website? It's in a funny .AS4A format. I thought I'd try and be clever by unzipping it and leaving it on a share, but it requires a password. Is there a way of installing it alongside the main install? Thanks

Hi sorry, it's been a while! I don't quite understand what you mean? Is there a dev portal of Google?
-
We just have the videos as unlisted and disabled comments. Didn't stop a pupil screen recording one though and making his own version for instagram..
