We have created a new thread, but we are going to have to ask you to keep things relevant as regards to what is discussed. So, please keep away from political criticisms. There is a lot going on and the govt(s) – depending on what country you are in - will follow the best advice they are given and this will differ depending on a lot of local issues such as healthcare availability, current infection levels, national characteristics (do they like to gather socially a lot for example) and other factors. Let’s keep this focussed on the areas we need to pay most attention to such as news updates (without making it political) and things you can do for your schools to help in the event of closure etc. Given the seriousness of the current situation, let’s not distract from that and continue to help each other through this uncertain period. Any post which strays into the political will be removed. For the practicalities of coping with this in schools, please use this thread: Coping with Coronavirus in education : links, resources, tips and IT concerns Employment issues should, of course, be posted in the Employment Issues and Advice Forum

Does anybody know/is there a way to add a custom AUP on Office 365/Teams when students sign-in? Similar to Impero, where users have to read/sign the agreement otherwise it refuses sign-in.

Dear all, I'd appreciate your thoughts on how you're dealing with shared IT equipment come September. We still have a few IT suites that students rotate in and out of and clearly this is not ideal. ptions we're considering are: Removing all shared devices from use, including desktops and loan laptops/tablets Requiring students or teachers to clean keyboards after use

This thread has been started to help with the practicalities of keeping things going in schools and colleges while the students are there and planning in case of enforced closure. Please post any links, tips, resources and pleas for advice on on IT concerns in this thread. The more general chat element surrounding coronavirus should be posted in this BTRD thread: Coronavirus: General discussion (see opening post for rules) Employment issues should, of course, be posted in the Employment Issues and Advice Forum

Hello, Fortinet are running a webinar tomorrow that I thought might be of interest to some of you. They're going to be looking at how cybercriminals are looking to use the current situation to try to exploit organisations by stealing passwords, compromising systems and breaching networks. The agenda includes; How the threat landscape is changing in the face of a global pandemic What techniques bad actors are using to compromise networks Recent successful campaigns leveraged by attackers across the globe If interested you can register here: https://secure.fortinet.com/LP=8262 Net-Ctrl are not affiliated to this session in any way other than being a Fortinet partner.

Hello All, I have seen there is a very big Coronavirus thread, but just for this one query so it didn't get lost in a huge conversation, I wanted to ask separately. We have been open all throughout this for children of key workers (secondary school) and had between 3 - 20 students in the building which has been okay. Now that the Government have announced "some contact" with year 10 and 12 students and there will be more students and staff in the building, what are all your thoughts regarding ourselves and PPE. Are you asking/requiring PPE so that you can stay safe in the building? I'm wanting to email and suggest that we have a supply of disposable gloves and each time we leave the office to go repair a computer (that another user has been using without gloves - potentially coughing/sneezing or just simply breathing on the device) we put a clean pair of gloves on and then dispose of them immediately afterwards. Is this a general feeling with others on here? What are you requesting for the return to the building? Kind Regards.
