Hi all We've now entered the space of being able to access SIMS type data anywhere. Our staff use laptops that they can use in school and at home. Is anyone in this position? If so, what have you done about security? There's obviously less hoops to jump through now to access sensitive data. MFA is a must. What else? VPNs? Thoughts please

MISSync adds people to the system and trust-e extractor does stuff like the biometrics, FSM status etc. You want to run both to get everything working properly.

What model have you got? They decided here to go with absolute base model (MP52). Turns out it just couldn't handle anything, calls cut off etc. Going two models up (MP56) seems to sort most things but they decided to go with the middle one (MP54). Wish I could rip them out and go a different route.

We've just moved to Yealink phones, using Teams and Gamma. Already had to swap out all Yealink handsets once....

They were useful for converting rooms where we didn't have smartboards but I found that Windows 11 didn't work with them after a certain update.

What issues are you seeing? We've just had a weeks troubleshooting to get the label printer to work.

Silly question.. When importing the CSV, does the data need to contain every pupil in SIMS? or can you pick and choose students? I don't want to bulk update 40 students and find out SIMS has deleted the rest!

Is there anyone else apart from Verkada doing this sort of thing? Reviews don't seem great with this sort of tech. My SLT are now asking about it all so I have to go back with some info..
