  1. Hi We have Netsweeper through BT Lancashire and it seems its not accepting any changes at the moment, whether its allowing sites to the allow list or removing one from deny. I have changes from 10 days ago that haven't happened. The actual filtering is still working though. Anyone else seen anything similar?
  2. Star!!
  3. on premises box, not checked cloud filter
  4. Hmmm.. I've added "google docs and drive" to do not inspect under HTTPS but its still not allowing it.
  5. Can I ask how you got in touch with them please? I've tried a couple of times and got nowhere.
  6. because the OCR requirements are that actual files are read and written to, which unless I'm mistaken, an online IDE cannot do. This is down purely to the requirements of the exam board for this subject. So to do this, you need actual python installing on an actual computer to fulfil the read/write element of the spec.
  7. Bought one of these as a test https://www.amazon.co.uk/Security-Universal-Authentication-Protection-SalesForce/dp/B07RL99HZ6/ref=sr_1_3?crid=1GJO9VWFMYE8H&keywords=fido2+security+key+thetis&qid=1702568244&sprefix=fido2+security+key+thetis%2Caps%2C96&sr=8-3 Seems to work simple enough.
  8. They just use replit and are wanting proper python to fulfil this.
  9. Back to this after a long while... OCR Computer Science CS03 - GCSE Computer Science Resources launch page (ocr.org.uk) It's specifically about writing data to a file.
  10. Yeah before Summer. I'll get our regular guy to check it when he's in next.
  11. I agree with this. The reports I get through now seem to list websites visited for unclicked links when doing google searches and its very unhelpful. Fortunately Impero seems to give me more accurate websites visited information.
  12. I was hoping the new web version would allow account switching but it seems not
  13. about a thousand fruit flies not long ago..
  14. Has anyone found they've been moved over to the web version of Teams and cannot switch multiple accounts?
  15. Does anyone use Google Authenticator over Microsoft Authenticator? Had some issues with iphones and the MS app but Google works first time. Any reason not to use it instead?
  16. How easy were they to setup and how much did you pay? We're looking at entry systems too so this might fit the brief.
  17. It's being plugged into a ring that has a single PC plugged in, that's it. Next time it's wheeled in, I'll try plugging it in without any laptops plugged in. Might be a case of trial and error..
  18. Hi all We have a laptop trolley that has started tripping the electric whenever its plugged in. Checked all the usual but it only seems to happen when the trolley has been wheeled to a class and back, so I assume its static build up, which is odd. Anyone else ever had theirs do this?
  19. They broke for us when we updated Windows 11 to a certain version. Work fine on Windows 10 though.
  20. The issue I've found is that it asks for the number notification popup first but you can choose the "I can't use the authenticator app right now" option and you can go through and use the code. Trying to explain to staff just press this option here to use the code option instead and I get the eye rolls etc.
  21. You'd think so but I've had the eye rolls, the moaning, the "well I'm not going to remember to connect to that in the morning", "I'm too busy to do this". Unbelievable pushback tbh.
  22. I've tried going the "cheap" route of using Microsoft Authenticator on their phones but phone signal is poor here. I've asked them to connect to school Wi-Fi but that's perceived as a "faff". Not in a position to buy dozens of tokens for everyone so going to push this on SLT.
  23. Best way I found was removing it when customising the WIM using WIMWitch
  24. Yeah unfortunately its in the most awkward, built up area of the school. The switch is far away, multiple concrete blocks etc.
  25. Hi I'm just trying to get my head around something and I don't know if I'm just overcomplicating it... Currently we have an ethernet cable coming from a main Extreme switch in a cabinet, which is just a generic school network connection, and when it gets to the room it plugs into a mini 4 port POE switch. This then provides networking for a computer in a room and for an IP camera. Nothing too complicated there.. I've now been tasked with getting an AP installed in this area. It would need to use the same network connection that currently plugs into the mini 4 port POE switch. Now these APs sit on a different VLAN, so ordinarily I would setup the dedicated port accordingly and away it goes. How do I do it so that everything works through this one cable but VLAN'd through a mini switch? I've seen you can get TENDA mini switches that support VLANs, but I've no experience of them so I'm not sure if that would solve what I'm trying to achieve..
