I went with Locker in the end. It was cheaper and seems to do what I need it to do at this time. Might look at Salamander again down the line if the complexities of the network outgrow what Locker can provide.

Hi all We've just purchased Locker to simplify account creation in school. Do schools have a concrete onboarding process that new staff follow or do you just deal as and when? It seems here they do the latter and I'd rather a process be in place but wondered what other schools did?

Its free for schools but it doesn't work for us anymore as I think the IP/ISP is blocked. Rang them to investigate and got no where.

I don't trusts them with the keys. My precious.

Just had a demo with Locker and it certainly seems fool proof.

It seems Locker might be the best for the moment. I've heard from a few people now that Salamander seems to be a bit of a victim of its own success!

What would people recommend? Salamandersoft or Locker?

Half of ours have gone offline . I'm talking to support who are being helpful but as yet no resolution. Seems its possibly a failed update. Devices flash white, so cant communicate with the cloud. If I swap device with one that works, that uses the connection fine and works fine. If I connect the "faulty" sensor to a hot spot, it works fine. If I put it back on the network, flashes white. Nothings changed except its potentially gone offline during an update. It's odd. EDIT: Turned out to be dodgy IP reservations. We're all good and catching them again.

I've been looking into this Creative Cloud for education | Primary & Secondary Schools (adobe.com) Where schools can sign up for express. Has anyone done this? If so, what was the lead time?

Yeah we just have an allowlist group on impero, anyone added to this group can only access the allowed set of websites. Usually the Isolation kids.

Yeah if MCEM is going to be the long term way of doing this, I may have to use that instead. If they are going to slowly break bits of MDT then I may as well do something else otherwise I'm going to be continually chasing it. Once we are A3 and are capable of doing so, I'll look at Intune too.

I'm am currently redoing my MDT because of the VBScript stuff. I got a feeling they don't want us using this anymore... What's the alternative? Configmgr?

It's ok. Does the job. Probably wouldn't choose them again.
