  1. Quality refurbished from the likes of ICT Direct will serve you for many years. We use the HP Elite 840 ones. Rarely have an issue. We just need to be mindful when we next upgrade as G7 onwards have no built in ethernet port.
  2. I'm a bit confused now. Is WCAG 2.2 actually required for school websites?
  3. I got this last night from Google
  4. Someone has said on ANME that at the BETT show they were told that the Ed Pro version is not being developed anymore. Anyone heard similar?

    2FA

We have it where if you want to access work stuff at home, you need MFA. Soon sorts them out.
  6. It doesn't mention it on the Impero blog, but extending V2 manifest is also in GPO (for windows users). I've had it set for a while knowing this was coming and I've not seen Impero affected, so assume that method works fine.
  7. Having to close here as several pieces of roof wanted an early dart
  8. Yeah we used the global exclusions setting in Sophos Central and we host Impero Ed Pro on prem, so in server go to tools > injection exclusions. Might take a client reboot to recognise the changes.
  9. Anyone had any issues with PowerPoint/Office and an error saying ai.exe bad image ? Seems Office has had an update recently to its AI functionality. Had to put some exclusions in to Sophos and Impero to get rid of the error.
  10. Dragging up a very old thread... I want to move our domain from LCC to Krystal. Has anyone done similar recently and had any resistance?
  11. I have a similar scenario coming up where I want to move the domain from one host to another. (from the LA to our own host) What implications does this have with Microsoft 365?
  12. Yep my main machine has been trying to update to 24H2 for a week, but apparently my modern PC, with 11th gen Intel CPU etc has incompatible drivers!
  13. If they moved BETT to Birmingham, I'd be much more interested in going.
  14. Where's that from? our guy is paying about £2.30 ish
  15. Just in time for Avanti to be on strike every Sunday until the end of May...
  16. wrong thread
  17. We had a student go around and destroy 20+ keyboards. All on CCTV etc. Parents refused to pay and had the audacity to accuse us of failing to educate their child in the manner of their ways. It actually kicked off a massive legal thing and the student is no longer with us. Half the battle is the parents.
  18. We allow it selectively but stuff like the inappropriate adverts really sours the experience.
  19. I highly doubt they were ever offer anything for schools. They've just got rid of the YouTube kids app. Now if my kids want to access YouTube they have to go on it alongside my unlocked normal profile and I have to trust them that they won't go onto it. They seem to have taken a step back in regards to safeguarding children and it's surely a conscious decision for whatever reasons.
  20. This is one of the reasons why we blocked youtube in school. Teachers were coming to me about these type of adverts all the time.
  21. Hi all We have a certificate on our domain controllers trusted store for Smoothwall which dates back a number of years. This certificate doesn't seem to be referenced in our current setup nor can I find any reference in the help guides about domain controllers needing a Smoothwall cert. I only have our current certificates in our GPO for HTTPS inspection. Can anyone clear up for me whether DCs need a certificate from Smoothwall or whether this sounds like a legacy thing and no longer needed? We authenticate users just with Active Directory for our on prem S9 box, so could one be required for this? I did ask support but I remain unconvinced. Thanks
  22. Liaise with the other school to make them aware and put rules in place?
  23. Those licences enrol you in the intune infrastructure but to actually do anything you'll need the appropriate licences. We moved to A3 a few months ago and now use Intune for staff laptops
  24. Yep they are a strange bunch. I get a lot of spam from them too.
