Another round of cold calls today begging for business. Can anyone answer this, from the moment you reply to the DFE with your network details how long do they take to come back to say if you are eligible or not?

All unboxed and all seems to be well A couple of snags/annoyances 1. We already have a couple of switches, so thinking which way round to set things up with virtual game cards and online licences took a moment. 2. This is probably more my TV than the Switch, but the picture is a bit bloomed/bright. I assume HDR shenanigans but I will investigate this weekend.

End date for 23H2 is November 2026, so you'll only get a years worth out of it anyway. I'd go for 24H2 and iron out any issues, such as incompatible drivers. I'm guessing 25H2 will turn up soon too..

So we have just last week been reclassed as a RISE school and are now eligible for these upgrades...except in the last 3 years we've spent well over £100k on a full network and wifi refresh in a time when there is no money... SLT aren't impressed. First question was "Can we apply retrospectively?"

Does anyone know how easy it is to manage chromeOS flex on google admin if you're only on fundamentals? Can you just buy individual licences?

We have approx 25 printers (with papercut) around school which are Canon and Ricoh, and they very rarely produce an error. Contract is up next Summer. Currently with ASL. Looking elsewhere.. Reprographics stayed with KM direct as they were the cheapest. Broken down half a dozen times since September so far..

So we have had the email from DFE saying we're eligible. We had a wifi refresh in 2022 and its Cambium cloud based with Wifi 6E. We have also just been through a switch refresh with Aruba. Does anyone know what the implications of this scheme will be for us? Do we have to proceed? Will they want to rip out any of our newer kit?

Its all peaks and troughs. Mainly down to the attitude of the teacher too. A lot of our damage stopped when we stopped having agency supply and only used teachers who are on frees.

Had one of those emails this morning where they demand we tell them about any changes to our systems. Seem to want more and more info every time.

We have a charging station in our pastoral office. If they need to charge it for a safeguarding reason, then they go there. It's not allowed anywhere else.
