For those who have virtual DCs on a physical host, what other VMs do you use on these? I have two physical DCs at the moment but due for renewal soon..

Bringing this thread back Got a bunch of these on my desk. I can install Windows 11 on them but you don't get much space left over. Anyone still using these? Might try flex on it.

Funnily enough I've just come round to reimage these laptops from lockdown. Remembering I'm having to boot into PXE from a USB stick because they're awful at recognising usb to ethernet adapters from BIOS.

I have four IT suites on gen 5 CPUs on Windows 11. I know its not supported but unless I'm given any money to replace them, there's nothing I can do.

Unfortunately I've been through their accounts, muted/unmuted, even deleted their permissions on server, re-created. Still the same. Wondering If I have to re-install server next..

How much do you pay if you don't mind me asking? Do you have the full package?

This is suddenly happening to us on Impero 8.6.26. Been fine for months. Possibly Windows 11 related as machines we've yet to upgrade seem fine.

Has anyone used TeachmateAI? Any issues? Came back in this morning after annual leave to find a department has bought it.

Yeah we use it. I signed up and they emailed the head just to confirm who I was. Its a part of the mandatory attendance reporting that is required now. Is it useful? Not really. It's slow and clunky. The half termly summaries are ok though.

Hi all Back int'olden days, if students wanted to put any printer credit on, they'd spend their pennies with us or in the Library. Now we hardly get students asking to additional credit now because printing has reduced to a low level and usually the starter credit each year is enough. I've been asked if its possible to connect Papercut with Parent pay for anyone who does want to add credit. Now looking online it looks like this is the case but not much in the way of how to implement it. Does anyone have any documentation on how to approach this? I've asked both companies but not had a reply. Also does this involve additional licencing? (I assume it does, nothing is free now) Thanks

Thought I'd bring this thread back to life and see if the opinions above have changed. We've had a few events and accusations not caught on CCTV. Being a school spread over 7 or 8 buildings, unfortunately there are some areas not as good as others for CCTV coverage. It's already been mentioned , jokingly, in passing about teachers at break having body cams, to protect themselves and students. A lot of shops I go into now have staff wearing them. Has anyone dared to move forward with this?

I'm surprised he was only in his early 40s when he did Going for Gold. He seemed way older.

Plenty of others will have more experience of this than me however when I have looked into it, Intune is fine for 1:1 devices, where changes are minimal however it really isn't good enough for shared devices or wanting to make sudden changes. At this stage, I'd never consider moving my shared PCs to Intune.

Is this with Microsoft? I'm sure Azure is having major issues today. Even releasing quarantine emails is failing half the time.

LCC went down this morning too. They're blaming Netsweeper. Wonder if something core has affected all these services?

Completely demoralising for the students involved. It's stuff like this that has made my eldest go from head held high and enjoying school to a total lack of motivation.
