  2. I noticed the sign in thing on another site I et rough prices from. I think I could get them as a trade installer tbh. But I'm reluctant to go this route given Hikvisions strategy and lack of support.
  3. Interesting. I was looking at hikvision today (have been keeping an eye open for a while). Think I'll pass then.
  4. Ha ha, yes blanking plates to me. Looks from the pic like there's a 1/2 and so and 4 x 1/4
  5. Cheaper than an iMac Pro [emoji23]
  6. There's some real Tin foil hat members here [emoji23] I pay for everything on card - usually contactless if possible. It's just much easier and more convenient for me. Why make life harder for yourself. The government and the big corporates either knows what you're up to or can do if they really want to.
  7. You can (could at least) ask apple to convert your codes to managed distribution licenses. There's a link somewhere with the VPP portal.
  8. That's cool. To be honest I didn't watch much of the Capaldi stuff. It might make me watch a bit more - maybe that what the BBC wants. I think the doctor needs a rest for a while.
  9. In my opinion Doctor Who should be male. No doubt I'm a sexist / chauvenest pig.
  10. There seems to be a problem here - she's a woman.

I'm against these 'closed' cockpit (or semi closed in this case) designs. But the shield looks so much better than the halo I can see there could be issues with reflections though - even within the car.

Borrow her trousers and sit downstairs?
  13. We gave up. Just got the cheapest reasonable ones and treat them as consumables.
  14. I'm a synology fan and the ones we've installed have never let me down. I recent set One up with iscsi for VM backup - impressed by performance To be honest I also had an older qnap and no complaints about that either.
  15. Since I'm not in a rush I elected for a free fiver ! Delivery this weekend / early next week.
  16. Bought an echo (we already have a dot) for £70 we want something to play music in the kitchen so that works out well. The hue stuff looks good value too - I'm pretty hue'd up tho. I'm just trying to keep away from the tv's ....
  17. Oh just read fully. Could be a filtering / firewall issue ?
  18. Are you apple profiles / Certs / tokens valid? You can check in meraki organisation settings.
  19. Iiyama all the way for us. 5 year de-install / re-install and rock solid. Built well, work well and android built in on 65" model. Great pricing too
  20. I would defo recommend domain joined. We still have some 'legacy' laptops which are standalone and changes to shares / filtering / printers etc become a pain. GPO's are much easier to manage them with.
  21. I'm still learning the more advanced unifi configs but we have a primary school where we have a normally wireless SSID for school and a public one on a different vlan. The public one requires accepting the T&C's. we don't have any throttling of bandwidth in their yet.
  22. Yep I ever really saw the point to be honest - not in a school / primary environment. It would be nice for testing. I do have a OS X VM running on a win machine - buts is slow and unreliable. It wouldn't go near a school!
  23. I found first Win10 Login slow regardless - even on 1607. Must say I've not looked on details as I'd skim read it's pretty standard! After the first login no problems.
  24. We've replaced a meraki system (which worked well and didn't cause any trouble) with a unif system for less than the annual meraki renewal price. We wouldn't normally replace good hardware for the sake of it - this was done in light of annual budgets for the next few years. No more licensing. It's also an option for another school where they were sold ruckuss. Complete overkill and the renewal is as much as a unifi install. We sold the meraki AP's and gave the money back to school too. They didn't go for a lot unfortunately.
  25. Only on Mac hardware I believe. Unless that has changed too.
