^^^^^^^ I couldn't think of a better post. Agree totally with this.
  2. Could have snapped part of the jack in the socket ? They are replaceable though. Edit: should have read post properly. Sorry!

Good start, dull in the middle and a great ending. I'm a huge Lewis fan and he did everything he could / should. If he wasn't going to fight or the title out there he may as well not have started. Senna, Schumacher, Prost, Lauda, hunt, Mandela, piquet etc would all have done the same. I was disappointed that Lewis DID NOT congratulate Rosberg in the room of awkwardness after the race. I think Rosberg was going to say something but Bernie stopped him in front of the cameras. At least Lewis did it on the podium. Rosberg deserves the title. He drove very well this year. You could say the same if Lewis won too. Looking forward to next year. Danny Ric and Mad max will defo be in the mix. Be interesting to see what mclaren could do too
  5. Dammit, Just purchased one from the Microsoft store. January birthday present for my boy (and joint for my 40th in Feb) £199, £10 store voucher (code: BlackFriday2016), £23 cash back on Quidco. Pretty happy with that
  6. Our Puppy is called Rey! (Strong willed, determined yet beautiful and caring) Mind you the cat is Wicket and the kids are Lucas and Leia
  7. I would say you definitely need AC2 to supervise then get them on the free Meraki. (Unless you're going to have > 100 devices soon). Sign up for the VPP. The trouble you might have is that if they've purchased lots of apps they should now be licensing per device. It's made a huge difference to managing for me though. I can quickly deploy - and manage - apps to all devices. School get a list of purchased apps and invoices which is much easier for auditing etc.
  8. I like prime. The Mrs gets it half price as a uni student The kids use it loads and us occasionally. Good for Mr Robot and we were half way through watching the Walking Dead on sky box sets when they took them off. Luckily prime has them all. There some exclusives and of course the grand tour. Not ventured into the music yet but overall worth it. I've also just started a Amazon drive sub - glad we provide internet connectivity at work - and have a bit of spare upload bandwidth. Up to a terabyte of data uploaded now
  9. Buy it. Especially an 09 with 61k Last year I upgraded my 318d touring to a 520d. It was 08 plate and I'd had it 3.5 years. Yeah cheapest car I've every run. Serviced at either dealer and a specialist it was so cheap as conditional servicing. The only thing it ever needed out of the ordinary was the central locking went. Apparantly the wiring loom is near the rear high break light and can occasionally Be subject to wear and tear / water ingress. Cost me £70 at a specialist - although that was a bit of mates rates.
  10. I admit to being a bit of an apple fan boi. Or liking the products at lot at least. But my only real criticism of the new MacBooks are the 16gb memory limit. Not a huge issue but if your targeted the pro market with a pro price tag then that seems a bit of a negative. I lived the mag connectors apple used previously and wish everyone would adopt them. But I understand the USB-c / thunderbolt 3 connections where 1 cable can do multiple jobs.
  11. Funnily enough I have a Job replacing a fibre link tomorrow with some external copper. We've tested everything to know it's not the sfp / switches. With school in a tight budget and the length of cable required we've chosen go use cat5e to replace the fibre. The fact the fibre was converted using external transceiver / receivers on a 10/100 Ethernet link means the copper link will now actually be much faster!
  12. We buy Fujitsu through distribution. And have supplied to plenty of schools. I really like the build quality - while all manufacturers have cut corners as they've cut costs i much prefer the Fujitsu over Toshiba which we used a lot before. Also over Lenovo these days too. Support has always been okay when I've needed it - although that's rare tbh. Also very easy to upgrade the had and ram. On a recent Lenovo I had to strip down half the laptop to add an ssd!
  13. You can't - not from a switched off state. The Mac's need to be sleeping. I never understood why Apple didn't implement a 'full' WoL
  14. As ever you've got to remember £ prices include 20% vat and the $ excludes sales tax at approx 10% in most states. But yeah - expensive and and the dollar rate certainly doesn't help.
  15. Love the touch bar feature. But nearly £3k including vat to match the storage capacity of my 2012 MacBook Pro ? Could sell my MBP and my 27" iMac of course.
  16. Yeah I could put 2 x 55" in for that. They wouldn't be 4K to be fair but running off a 1366x768 laptop it doesn't make much difference ! Maybe the US market is different ?
  17. The login script - if you run it locally on the client does it work? Are you pushing out computer or user settings ? Can you try the other one ? Finally, back in the day we had some machines that had some local gpedits during initial setup. They were overriding the domain policy. A long time ago though.
  18. Just watched this - one of the funniest things I've seen for ages. Genuine laugh out moments all through.
  19. I do see this occasionally on windows 7 machines which are behind an (LEA) authenticated proxy. Often windows seem to release eventually that it does have a connection after all. Sometimes we need a browser session to 'force' the warning symbol removal.

    2010 21" iMac Ram

I had terrible performance with OSX 10.10 on a late 2009 iMac with 2gb. However installed 10.11 today and it's very much usable. I have however fitted an ssd to a similar model and the difference is remarkable. It wasn't as tricky as I thought removing the screen.
  21. I'm surprised there are no law suits yet. It came about from Samsung greed. When they saw the iPhone 7 would have "no new features" they rushed through production and made short cuts. Imagine the hatred if it was Apple.....
  22. As a tight Yorkshire man we were always trying the heating off when out. Then had to crank it on when we got home. Although I now live In a new build that is very energy efficient, this fact I can just leave the house and the heating knows this via geolocation and turns the heating off (with a minimum away temperature setting and frost detection) is brilliant. Don't have to think about touching the controls. Similar on that it warms up as I'm on the way home - so ready for when I'm in. To be fair I'm in and out at different times so this works well for me. Now all I need is a decent smart lock so i don't have to fiddle with then old fashioned and annoying keys
  23. Tado are releasing smart valves for each radiator. Not 100% sure how they'll work as I have two zones anyway so don't plan on using them.
  24. Earlier adopter if Tado here. Absolutely fantastic. The geolocation works without any issue. Support is also very good if you need anything. One of the best purchases I've made.
  25. Yeah - a projector is typically design to last 5 years. You'll might get 5-7. After that they need replacing. Or with current primary school budgets after 10-12 years!!
