Office 365 remove original message when replying
spacehopper replied to spacehopper's topic in Office Software
straight forward and SLT don't often go together well.. The idea is it will stop 'potentially sensitive' emails being forwarded to the wrong person by mistake.. I have the feeling that this has already happened to someone and they are now trying to shut the door after the horse has bolted.. I agree it makes much more sense to start a new email.. or just to check the contents of emails before replying /forwarding / sending. -
the powers above would like to disable including the original message when replying to an email in office365. one of the SLT says this was disabled at his old school.. I can change the settings for individual users when they are logged on themselves.. but is there a way to do it for everyone in the organisation through the admin panel? I havent been able to find anything yet... We use office365 E3 and everything is hosted with microsoft.. (we dont use exchange) users access their email through web browsers not outlook. thanks in advance for any answers!

hi, we are experiencing some intermittent issues with our network.. and think it could in part be down to some ageing (approaching 15 years old in some places) Fibre runs.. I dont know much about fibre and havent ever installed any (apart from connecting patch cables to switches) or tested it before.. The fibre was mostly all installed before i started here by the then technicians (who have now all left..) who all got sent on a fibre course.. As far as i am aware it is all multi Mode fibre, with 95% ST connectors (one cab has SC for some reason..) in the network cabinets.. these are then connected to the switches via an SC to LC fibre patch cable to the mini gbic modules in the switches.. does anyone have any reccomendations for equipment either to buy or hire if it is super expensive.) to test the condition of the fibre runs? thanks!

hi, does anyone know if there is a way to change the default timezone in office365\sharepoint for new sites? when created currently they are all Pacific time with the american date format.. you can change them manually to GMT after creating them, but it would be handy to not have to remember to do this every time! have i missed a setting somewhere? my google-fu is usually pretty good but im struggling with this one!

App Inventor 2 without compromising security (I think!)
spacehopper replied to knelmes's topic in How do you do....it?
looks like i've figured my issue out.. the application parameter in the registry needed changing from program files to program files (x86) have also used the emahx64 you posted on the previous page.. will just have to tidy everything up now and it should be good to go.. -

this has been working great for us last year.. thank you knelmes! but, I have just come to set it up on the new image (which is 64bit rather than 32bit) and the service wont start properly.. have fiddled around and changed a few things to programfiles (x86) but no joy.. The Image is currently in Audit mode too whilst i finalise the setup.. could this be the cause? if not.. has anyone else had this and how did you solve it? -
the server they're connecting to is server 2003... however.. con2prt is crashing the windows 7 machines local spooler..

we have been using con2prt with an environment variable for years.. however... ive just been looking at some windows 7 machines that are using this system.. (weve had win7 machines in school now for over a year..) and con2prt is crashing the print spooler meaning the printers arent added.. has anyone else experienced this? and if so what did you do to remedy it? Thanks!

Virtualbox - Remove network access
spacehopper replied to spacehopper's topic in Thin Client and Virtual Machines
even more baffling.. ive just tried it on my 32bit win7 machine.. and the VBoxManage setextradata global GUI/RestrictedGlobalSettingsPages Network works... in that it removes the network settings in file, preferences.. but, if i create a VM i can access its individual network settings through virtualbox manager.. would i be better off looking at creating individual VM's for them to access separately without going through (and also disabling) the virtualbox manager? and then remove each VM's network access on a VM by VM basis?
