As an aside, China is heading towards 20 million a day - which is slightly higher than we achieved Saturday.

Which is good news! The daily rate trend line has been moving upwards for a few weeks now- I wonder if Moderna is helping?

I have had an email stating that because I am a high priority case they may be able to offer me an earlier appointment for my 2nd jab.

 

The catch is they cant tell me if they have an earlier appointment until they cancel my existing appointment which is on the 4th June.

 

As it is less than two weeks I am going to stick with the one I have.

not round this area, unfortunately. Heard of people who cancelled their second, local appointment only to find out that any new appointments are not local. Others had their appointments moved forward a day!

2nd on Friday. Had it booked for June 11th my doctors surgery contacted me and offered a vaccine this week.

I didn't have any side effects apart from a sore arm, hoping for the same with the 2nd !!!

Friday of half-term 2nd vaccine booked - will have been 10 weeks 2 days between!

 

I've got golf that evening and Saturday and Sunday !!

 

Last one really hurt my arm so I guess I'll just have to play through the pain - I had a migraine will they jabbed me the first time so hard to say how ill the jab made me as I felt rough from that for a couple of days anyway!

I had a headache for the last 3 days - VERY mild - more like discomfort/pressure but not really pain a such

which is very unlike me

but it is now about 2 weeks (OK - 2 weeks on Wednesday) since the second vaccine.

 

nothing dramatic - but as the effects build up over 2 weeks to get to full effectiveness that it COULD be connected

or I could have just had a bit of a headache

I've very similar symptoms to the effects of my first jab just not as intense, just incredibly tired e.g. I can be reading something and I can just feel myself going. This took a week to get better last time.

Pleasantly surprised so far at how little I'm feeling the effects of my vaccine, although it's only the morning after, there's still time! Little bit sore in the arm, but not terribly so, other than that feeling pretty good.

@mikeprice—Did you have the AstraZeneca? These are the symptoms to watch out for as possible clotting:

Although serious side effects are very rare, if you experience any of the following from around 4 days to 4 weeks after vaccination you should seek medical advice urgently:

 

 

• a new, severe headache which is not helped by usual painkillers or is getting worse
  
• a headache which seems worse when lying down or bending over
  
• an unusual headache that may be accompanied by:
  
  • blurred vision, nausea and vomiting
    
  • difficulty with your speech
    
  • weakness, drowsiness or seizures
