Hi folks, I'm having this issue also with ExamWritePad, but the solutions above appear blank on the new forum. Is anyone able to repost it for me so I can get this fixed? Thanks!

Blimey Andrew, this all sounds rather eventful. Very glad you're recovering after all of that, add me to the list of people who's glad you're still here to tell the tale! I think it's very easy to fall into the trap of overworking, particularly in roles like ours, as the demands never seem to stop. All the best

dang it! how to extend the c drive! (VM machine)
tg12 replied to chazzy2501's topic in Windows Server 2012
I think the issue here is that the free space needs to be alongside the C:\ partition to grow. Somehow you'd need to move the other partition to the end of the disk to give the space to C:\. Probably a tool like GParted would be useful here.- 15 replies

The sentence of "This one is not repairable" above the photo just makes this even more funny to look at.

Luxury Cars damaged after transporter overturns on the A20

It just so happens that I actually drove that red Mercedes on a track experience day on Monday. Good job I did it then and hadn’t booked for later this week!- 1 reply

BETT 2023 GIVEAWAY - What is your earliest gaming memory?
tg12 replied to VeryPC's topic in Our Advertisers
Probably my very earliest gaming memory would be trying to work out Lemmings on my Dad's Acorn Archimedes. Also Chip's Challenge is on Steam?! When my dad swapped his Archimedes for a flashy new Windows 95 PC, the Microsoft Best of Entertainment floppy disk was my absolute favourite. -
The PaperCut license activates fine on a second server, I did it during the migration of my PaperCut server over the summer and did many other migrations for other schools in my previous job doing the same.

Not the easiest method but we use folders in SharePoint, where the permissions are locked down and they are only given access at the start of each session and permissions are removed again at the end.

Hi all, Throwing this out there in case anyone has worked out how to solve this, because I'm being pestered by teachers and have absolutely zero answers on it myself. A teacher is trying to use Blooklet, but since updating Smoothwall over the summer, the page fails to load correctly and just shows a blank page. Off the network, this works fine on the same device. I've tried unblocking every URL I've seen it request in the web filter, plus bypassing HTTPS inspection as I know web sockets are particularly sensitive to this, but I still cannot get it to work. Running the developer console as I try and load the page gives an error of "Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected end of input" for one of the many JavaScript things it is trying to run, so something isn't loading correctly, but I can't for the life of me see what! Any help greatly appreciated.

I’d definitely say triple chocolate but then smarties cookies are pretty amazing too. Tough choices.

I may have bought one or two on eBay the last couple of years. They're good fun to take apart, put new batteries in and replace spinning disks with adapters and SD cards. Still totally usable!

It's a shame but also a surprise it lasted this long. Although I think with the interest older iPods (the non-touch versions especially) still get, I bet they'd make a killing bringing back one with a click wheel. I still like using mine occasionally as it's nice to have a dedicated music player that I can use without interruptions. It's also the device that got a lot of people into Apple products, myself included.

Any chance you can fling a few pairs of socks to the other side of London? I'm not coming this year and comfy socks are always appreciated

If I won it? Stroke it? Tell it I love it? That it's my favourite child gadget? Oh and play games on it, I suppose

Turned out it was a utility pre-installed by HP for the Bang & Olufson speakers, which has a noise cancellation feature setting! Once we found that and turned it off, I could hear her piano and drums perfectly. Problem solved.

Ooh, now that's a good thought, I hadn't considered something like RTX Voice (if they're still calling it that!), I shall ask her what she has and find out.

Hi all, Got a weird issue coming up, hoping someone here has a good idea! One of our peripatetic music techs has bought a new HP laptop recently with Windows 11, but she is noticing that her students on Teams/Skype calls are unable to hear her playing her piano or drums. We've gone through the audio settings together, tried the built in mic and her USB Rode microphone but the same issue occurs. Her speech comes through fine, it's like noise cancellation is kicking in for the piano, yet we've unticked settings like audio enhancements etc. All I can think is that it's something specific to the laptop, or Windows 11, as she hasn't encountered this issue on her previous laptop running Windows 10. Thanks in advance!
