I opted to work from home today given that London got moved to a red warning. Admittedly I don't think the winds were quite as strong as I expected (although strong enough!) but I felt particularly vulnerable given my 20+ mile drive into Berkshire, especially driving through a forest!

The problem is with Facebook's modus operandi is, even if you don't actively use Facebook, they're still gathering data on you and building a profile on you as you browse the internet. Their tracking tools are built into so many sites these days.

Definitely recommend WWDITS, I binged series 2 and 3 a month or two back as I saw the original series when it came out, missed series 2 as I was busy and 3 was then out. It just seemed to get better and better as it went on.

There's a little bit of irony in that services like Netflix were set up because, I think particularly in the US, you'd be paying for various different cable packages to get all of the content. Netflix became popular because it was a centralised place to see everything. And then all the big media companies suddenly wanted a piece of the action, and now we're back in a fragmented market again.

Here we just have a PowerShell script that runs on startup, I think, and checks the installed SIMS version against that on the server, copies the SIMS .net folder across to Program Files, registers the DLLs as required etc. so no, I don't think you really need SOLUS!

I think all I did with PaperCut and CC4 was point it to run the pc-client.exe from the share on the server on login. I can't remember it needing anything more than that, other than an allowance in the security rules in RMMC.

Surely every team with a driver stuck behind a lapped car that wasn't released should feel aggrieved at the fact that their races were deemed not important enough to allow them to challenge for positions ahead of them on that final lap. Yes, blue flags mean those cars will jump out of the way but it's still a big delay. The championship is more than just the winner, those points and places determine prize money etc for teams.

I've not seen this particular issue, but I had pupils with issues in Teams with assignments linking to a form not wanting to open within the app, on both iPadOS and Mac, only workaround was to ask the pupils to open them in the web version of Teams.

The other thing I still can't work out is how this works for those of us not using .sch.uk, .ac.uk or similar. As far as I could tell testing my school email address, it then just prompted me to tell them which school I was at. Would that mean the hub would then be tied to our domain? Or if someone beat us to it, they could easily tie it to something else entirely... Too many details about how this works are unclear, and I am firmly in the camp of this being a safeguarding issue. The mere fact the school's name is on it will put us in hot water should there be incidents on it. Outsiders won't care if it's affiliated with us officially or not.
