LeMarchand Posted April 5, 2017 Posted April 5, 2017 Recently watched a couple of episodes of 24: Live Another Day. Same old, same old so far - but Michael Wincott's English accent was actually rather good. Can't understand why the Yanks are so worried about catching English troops in the crossfire (something they seem to do quite regularly IRL) but have no qualms about sending agents to shoot up half of London.
phreak Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 Re: Archer Ha ha. Yes. That one got me for a bit when I started on Rick and Morty too. Funny you mention those 2 as both of them started their new seasons this week. Archer Dreamland is a lot of the same old Sterling Archer in a new setting. But I didn't laugh out loud as much as I did in previous seasons. Rick and Morty though... I love me some of that! So far I have rewatched that first episode twice. Was looking for something to watch during some dead time the other day. Got into Iron fist and it was ok. But yes I agree.. Danny is a bit of a pratt although I did end up finishing the first season. 1
ICTDirect_Dave Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 Delighted that Season 3 of iZombie has kicked off on Netflix. Had to watch the last couple of episodes of season 2 just to catch up first as it's been an age and they left it with quite a cliffhanger. Great to have it back! 1
phreak Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 Been waiting to kick off Season 3 of iZombie. Only just got the missus into it recently and so she has now demanded that we watch that one together despite me now re-watching it again from season 1 with her. Not that I am complaining as it is still a good show and totally re-watchable. 2
DalekSec Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 So i was ill at the weekend and needed something to watch (Plus had a week off work). I've always wanted to watch 'It's always sunny in Philadelphia' but the fact it has 12 seasons has always put me off. And fast forward to today..... I've just finished Season 11! I don't know whether to be proud or ashamed... or both. Season 12 isn't on Netflix I have the new iZombie season to start watching at least, and new Better Call Saul as well next week. Also something called 'Doctor Who'? Starting again on Saturday, might give it a try, sounds up my alley
6Foot2 Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 ...something called 'Doctor Who'? Starting again on Saturday, might give it a try, sounds up my alley Speculative spoilers are popping up as to how series 10 might develop and how it might end.

Stormborn15 Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 13 Reasons Why - ok so it's based on YA book .. but having read reviews and it popping up on my Netflix as a must see - thought I would give it a try and was half expecting to give up half way through episode 1... hooked and binge watched to the penultimate episode... till 1am this morning.. very well done and draws you in..

Oh but it is hard to watch! Not in a bad way - it is an excellent series - but the subject matter and the inevitability of everything makes it a bit of a tough one.
mavhc Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 The Leftovers season 3, best show on tv Also Bojack Horseman and Dimension 404 Just finished Love season 2, and started The West Wing season 3 as I'm following The West Wing Weekly
Iain.Faulkner Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 Just been catching up on the second series of "Stan Lee's Lucky Man" from Sky One, thought it's been a bit slow to get going but the last 4/5 episodes were really really good although it has gone a bit "Final Destination" in episodes 7/8
caffrey Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 The Leftovers season 3, best show on tv Totally agree, best thing ever I'm watching Ray Donovan starting from season one, it's like an Aldi version of the Sopranos - enjoying it though 1

I started watching this the other night. I'm about 5 episodes in and enjoying it. There's a LOT going on..... Interesting use of colour temperature to indicate past times (warm, sunny temperature) with present, post-suicide times (cooler, blue temperature). And of course the plaster on his head....

It lasted with me for days after I finished watching it - and yes very well done cinematography wise...
elsiegee40 Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 Really enjoyed the last Top Gear of the series. Amusing without going to the idiotic extremes that the old presenters had taken it to. Current presenter chemistry settling down nicely
3s-gtech Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 Just caught up on the current series of Hinterland. Dark dark dark, but stunning and it's great spotting places I recognise.
SpuffMonkey Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 It lasted with me for days after I finished watching it - and yes very well done cinematography wise... Just finished binge watching 13 Reasons - excellent I thought
Stormborn15 Posted April 24, 2017 Posted April 24, 2017 Ok - so is anybody on here watching Line of Duty?... absolutely love it! Always have.. but last night ... from an IT perspective - a few things happened that shouldn't ( wouldn't?) happen in real life.. Security needs looking at is alls i'm saying.... lol 1
CAWJames Posted April 24, 2017 Posted April 24, 2017 Just binged Emerald City, so dark and more true to the books. Vincent D'Onofrio really does make a great "bad guy" fingers crossed for season 2.

Yay! Loved this show, and was surprised to find that a lot of it was shot on CGI-enhanced locations. Not overly hopeful about the chances for S2, but hope they keep Tarsem Singh on as the director if it happens.
