But I agree. Miller is an awesome character. I like how in Ep 2 it seemed as if he was going to go one way, but then just went a completely opposite way when he came up with his plan of action.

I'd been looking forward to that part for a while. In the book there's enough development done that you know exactly what he's gonna do at that point. I think the only person who is surprised at that point is Holden :)

Nowt wrong with watching broadcast TV ... some of even read real books, buy magazines and even listen to live radio.

;)

The horror. The horror.

Legion is pretty good.

I thought it was a bit of a mess. Will give it another episode or two, but it needs to calm down a bit. I'd be very surprised if it didn't see a lot of the audience turn off during the ep as it seemed to be going out of its way to be wilfully weird.

I am definitely going to have to go and read the books after the series finishes. Don't want to do them alongside each other lest one detracts from the other.

But the show just keeps getting better. Again on Ep 3 Miller throws a curveball right at the end.

Loving it!

I'm really going to have to try a few more eps of this. Watched the first 2 or 3 and didn't feel the love.

Yeah, i was already halfway through book one when i found out about the series. Rushed to finish the first book so i didn't spoil anything, but it turns out that season one is only roughly the first half of the first book :)

11.22.63 , yes that's the name, time travelling series with James Franco about a portal that takes the person back to a date in 1960, always the same date and time, you can stay as long as you want and you will age, anything you do will affect time, but when you return through the portal only 2 minutes have passed in the present, and if you pass through again, time is reset back to the same date and time in 1960. Oh and time fights back. Mostly centered on stopping the assassination of JFK hence the date in the title. I've seen the pilot and so far looks intriguing. Oh and Legion did my head in, until it stopped spinning and I thought about it, I quite like it! Edited by CAWJames

Narcos. The story of the Medellín Cartel and Pablo Escobar. Pretty much an excuse for another American cop show, albeit with a bit of history and primarily set in Columbia. Good performances (Wagner Moura is superb as Escobar) and on the whole it is well done. I wasn't sure I'd stick with it into Season 2, but now a couple of episodes in I can see a little binge to fill some of my leave.

Watched the first episode of "Detectorists" as recommended by Bonus Daughters 1 and 2 plus peeps on here. Bit too gentle for my taste, and couldn't understand the MacKenzie Crook character: he's got a girlfriend who puts up with his foibles (and there seem to be a lot of them), presumably contributes the lion's share of the money to the pot and IMHO is way out of his league then as soon as some OK looking student turns up and he's like a dog in heat.
