Thanks for the heads up on Oasis watched the pilot yesterday, I hope they make more.

 

Breaking bad is my favorite complete series well worth a watch to those who haven't seen it.

Watched the first episodes of Under the dome, Revolution and The 100, trying to work out which one I should focus on.

 

Dome started well, but began to drag. Still have the last few eps to watch, but I believe there is a conclusion. Revolution is probably going to be deleted off my disk as I don't think I'll ever get around to it (the first few eps didn't enthral me). 100 sounded like teenage angst city (so I passed), but has a lot of fans and has recently been renewed.

Last night's episode was magnificent! The second part of the sandwich task was ingenious!

Started watching Line of Duty and then promptly burnt through season 1. Very good.

 

Also started on Orphan Black and loving a bit of that.

 

Still not very clear about what is going on in American Gods, but I will continue to watch it for now. Taking some interesting turns.

 

Dark matter first new episode was true to form.

 

Stitchers is back... but seems to have lost a little of the spark that it once had.

 

Finally got to finish watching the end of season for Once upon a time ( a show that I loved from the start). Not overly impressed with the reboot ending. But apart from that, if you didn't do that last little bit at the end of the episode and ignore any future series, then it was a decent enough ending.

Mlle LeMarchand loves that. I've never made it past the first episode.

 

Recently finished: The Magicians S2 (one of my favourites and much better than the books), Lucifer S2 and The Great Indoors S1 and only (quite a fun sitcom) and the episodes of so-so sitcom Powerless that got broadcast. Looking at what the yanks have got coming up, there's not much new that has me gagging to watch. Luckily the axeman wasn't as ruthless as usual this year!

I'm only two episodes into American Gods but if the series takes the same direction as the book, it's going to be very meandering but most of the threads will be tied up towards the end.

Just finished Season 1 of "True Detective". Interesting and the ending was certainly exciting, but it did feel a bit, "That's it? It took 8 hours to get to that?"

It's a particularly good dramatisation of the murder of Sophie Lancaster back in 2007, her and her boyfriend were attacked for being different (goths) and she was kicked to death trying to protect him and get his attackers to call an ambulance. It highlights the bigotry that is rife in the world today and I think schools could do a lot worse than to show this as a whole school assembly.

Watched the first two episodes so far. Very good indeed! It's good to know Brian Fuller has a certain style. This is very much his spiritual successor to Hannibal, even down to the same production team and same composer for the music.

Just finished watching OITNB and Better Call Saul both great series, and great ending to BCS.

 

But the programme i'm really into at the moment is 'iZombie' reading the premise of it sounds extremely cheesy, but it's not! i give it 4 golden girls, highly recommend!

iZombie is excellent! Only one more episode of season 3 to go.

It's a slow burner. The book is too. The series has deviated away from the book a little bit, skipped over one or two parts while fleshing out others but so far it's been pretty faithful.

 

FWIW, American Gods is my favourite Neil Gaiman novel and one of my favourite books full stop.

Watched an episode of Patrick Stewart's short-lived sitcom "Blunt Talk" last night. Blunt (Patrick Stewart) exhibited some confusion as to what the difference between a "roundhead" and a "cavalier" was - a story PS later related whilst plugging Logan on Graham Norton as having happened to him. Blunt's long-lost son turned up and was played by PS's actual son, who appears to have inherited the bald gene but (based on his performance here) not so much the acting gene. All very meta.
