  1. This website appears to be down now which is a shame because it made it really easy to understand. Does anyone know of another that makes this subject clear on what you can and can't do as a school?
  2. I've become quite the expert at changing iPhone batteries and screens, being a father of 4 will do that to you but looking at how to's on changing the iPad mini battery it seems to be a lot of work with a high chance of breaking the glass so I think paying the £70 to Apple may be the best option. I had a reply from Apple and they've said that there are no know faults with the batteries on these models and I'll have to pay for the out of warranty repair.
  3. Still waiting to hear back from Apple and the re-seller is speaking to their supplier about it. On further investigation I've found that the 4 iPads that have the issue are all from the same Kensington Sync and Charge cabinet, could it be that the cabinet is faulty and caused this if the charge controller is not shutting off the power to the iPad once it's charged? https://technabob.com/blog/2013/01/03/kensington-charge-sync-ipad-cabinet/
  4. Back in January 2017 I bought 18 iPad mini 2s, gathering them in this week to refresh them I've noticed 4 of them have swollen batteries to the point it has pushed the screen away from the body. I'm about to contact Apple hoping that I can get these repaired for free instead of the £70 each their website is quoting as it seems to me that it must have been a faulty batch as they all came from the same purchase. Has anyone here managed to get a free out of warranty repair out of Apple? What do you think my chances are?
  5. iTalc works fine on Windows 10, it sometimes doesn't load the service but I had the same problem on Windows 7 and I just run a Powershell script to restart the service on the various groups of machines. I've tried on a couple of occasions to migrate to Veyon but without success so I've just stuck with iTalc.

Go play on the 360 version, you can't go into a public lobby without giant ramps leading off into the sky and people teleporting all over the place. Current gen stuff if pretty hacker free though.

You can transfer it once to each format, I went from 360 to PC and then from PC to XB1 all 3 are now separate entities but at least I didn't have to level each one up again.
  8. is anyone else getting really excited about this? I've listened to the Audio book 3 times since Christmas, It does look like the film will be more of a retelling of the book than following it but I'm still really looking forward to it
  9. Charlie I feel for you I really do, you seem like a good guy who's willing to listen to feedback and get things moving in the right direction but unfortunately MLS is not a very well liked company around here, too many of us have been fobbed off with excuses and poor customer service for too long. I understand that you are saying Edocoo and MLS are two separate entities but having the MD of MLS talking about monetising the Edocoo platform doesn't look good at all in my oppinion.
  10. Oh dear, definitely an MLS website.
  11. You need to search for a Circle that matches the software you want support on and subscribe to it, it's a lot like Google+ from what I remember of that.
  12. I had to register to try and get an issue resolved, it's not the quickest site, not very intuitive to use and I get about 50 emails a day to say that another support thread had been created withing the "MLS Junior Librarian.Net" circle So it definitely sounds like it's run by the same people.
  13. When you call their support they recommend getting in contact with them via https://edoocoo.com I had an issue yesterday along with a few other people that also posted on there and they replied on there within a couple of hours, so if you have an issue it may be worth registering on edoocoo to see if that gets a response.
  14. oh sorry I read what you said wrong, I thought you were missing episode 1
  15. Is this it? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Family-Ness-Elspeth-Angus-Meet/dp/B0001MIR3Y/ref=sr_1_1?s=dvd&ie=UTF8&qid=1517838113&sr=1-1&keywords=family+ness
  16. I'm looking at moving all of our curriculum server shares on to a cloud based storage platform, we're getting rid of USB storage for the teachers and want to have something that is just as easy if not easier for them to use, I'm looking at the options at the moment and have seen that LGfL offer solutions from both Microsoft and Google but trying to work out which one is right for us is very difficult as the information on how it will work once set up is not very forthcoming and unless I bite the bullet and start the process I don't know how else I'll know if it's the right decision or not.
  17. I bet it made you at the original "spam" email before deleting it though, sounds like clever marketing to me.
  18. I replaced my own on mine and my other half's iPhone 6, it's really not that difficult to change yourself. I bought the battery from Replacebase (CE approved battery) the battery cost about £10 and took about 30 minutes to change, I now get about 2 days out of the phone without needing to charge it. I was getting the same symptoms as you before I changed it.
  19. Downsizing I don't know what I was expecting with this but what I got definitely wasn't it, they could have done so much more with this but in the end it turned out to be a pretty dull boring story without much in the way of special effects to draw you into the tiny world.
  20. We're on Virgin via LGfL here and the site loads up fine.
  21. Are you able to do a URL report using your filtering software and the I.P of the Chromebook?
  22. I can always tell if my drink has been made with diet coke to the point that I've left Jack and Diet coke because I just can't drink it. Quick tip for those that like Red Stag and Coke, it tasted the exact same as JD and Cherry coke, I also enjoy Stag straight but can't drink Jack straight.. Unless it's warm Apple Winter Jack, that is just amazing.
  23. I was about to berate the BBC for still using flash and then I noticed the video was from 2011
  24. Some guy made his own Holographic Cortana assistant and it's pretty impressive
  25. Good to know
