Just watching EP2 now...agreed it looks good. Why cant they have a clean shaved hero though.

As someone currently sporting a full set (beard and moustache) nothing wrong with a beard!

Blood Drive is crazy, true.

 

Which The Tick, Townsend Coleman, Patrick Warburton, or Peter Serafinowicz? Last one it says has 1 episode out, rest next week.

 

Adam Ruins Everything, kinda like Penn and Teller, BS.

 

Mary Kills People, decent, but not great.

Been a little while since I been on here so here goes.

 

Watched Blood Drive. The Season Finale was quite.... interesting... hmm, perhaps that's not the right word. Gory.. it was definitely gory. Either way I think if they made a season 2 I would probably watch it.

 

Started a new series called Shooter, which is based off the movie of the same name. It's not bad. Not wow amazing either, although I am only on the 2nd episode.

 

Rick and Morty. Loving it. Whirly dirly baby! And yes, the Pickle Rick episode was amazing. Watched it a few times since.

 

Preacher. Good solid 2nd season so far. Pissed myself laughing with the Humperdoo bit.

 

Zoo Season 3 is pretty decent so far. A few nice twists and turns to keep things interesting.

 

Dark Matter and Killjoys. Both great shows and the new seasons respectively are ticking along nicely.

 

And of course GOT... wow. Great bit of TV. Hearing lots of interesting/amusing theories around the water office cooler about it. Such as the whole thing with Dany going North was all part of the Night Kings plan (hence there were 3 ice spears at the ready, while all the other Wights had swords). Or that the Night King is actually Brandon Stark. And something about an Ice dragon in the Wall that Jon Snow was going to ride into battle.

All I know is that I can hardly wait for next week's episode now!

Finished Mary Kills People, pretty good. Started The Tick (2016), it's interesting how every incarnation of the show is so different. This one is more Wilfred-y

Just finished "Killjoys" series 3, really good, just binged it as it was gripping with a good windy story line. If you haven't watched any of the series, I wholeheartedly urge you to start. Series 1 starts with some standalone episodes, introduce the team, etc, but pretty soon gets into an arc that spans all 3 series and is very engaging!

Just finished The Tick which is on Amazon Prime, definitely worth watching 👍

We also finished The Defenders which was pretty good except for the last 2 episodes.

“Dark Matter” has been cancelled after three seasons at Syfy, Variety has learned.

 

The third season finale, which aired last week, will now serve as the series finale. The series centered on an intergalactic crew who awaken on a derelict spaceship with no memories of who they are or how they got there. It starred Marc Bendavid, Melissa O’Neil, Anthony Lemke, Alex Mallari Jr., Jodelle Ferland, Roger Cross, and Zoie Palmer. Joseph Mallozzi and Paul Mullie created the series, which is based on their Dark Horse graphic novel of the same name. Prodigy Pictures produced.

 

Syfy declined to comment...

I watching the season of Laurel and Hardy films being shown on Talking Pictures TV. I don't know the last time that any where on the TV, except for The Flying Deuces which pops up sometimes. Yesterday was Block-Heads , still very funny.

They've recently announced renewal for two more seasons, after which they will have wrapped up the story.

 

 

Shame about that, and a bit odd as SyFy seemed to be pushing it more that Killjoys.

 

Just started Penny Dreadful and enjoying it lots! :)

 

Loved this! Though I still feel that they crammed a season or two worth of stuff into the last few eps, even if creator John Logan claims it was always designed the way it unfolded.

Halfway through second season of Colony, really good watch. High praise from Stephen King himself too. The only "problem" is I can only think Taub when Snyder is on screen!!

Found myself with a lack of things to watch so thought I would try a few new series (well, new to me).

 

Tried the first episode of Outlander. Kind of slow. Not sure if I am that bothered with it.

 

Watched a few episodes of Parks and Recreation. Again, a bit slow to start with. Not laugh out loud as I expected the way some of my friends go on about it. Might be something to watch when I have nothing else, but not sure if it is one I am going to follow that intently.

 

After many people have looked at me in disbelief when I say I haven't watched it I finally decided to start on House of cards.

Only on the first episode but I must say it appears to be rather good.

Watched Season 1 quite avidly, but the penultimate episode gets really nasty and has a weird slash vibe. Kinda put me off the show and I've only got around to the first ep of S2. If you're not enjoying it from the first ep, it's probably not for you.

Two very different shows have had me up late in the last couple of days

 

Firstly Cameron Mackintosh: The Musical Man

 

This has left me with a "Jellicle Cats" earworm... and I had no idea Judi Dench could sing.

 

Then last night Stacey Dooley investigates: Young sex for sale in Japan. Frankly, this was horrifying... the Japanese obsession with manga and cute gone very bad indeed :( The safeguarding and child protection issues raised were beyond worrying. Japanese society has some deeply embedded attitudes that need changing fast. Worth watching, but don't expect to come out of it feeling happy.

Season 1 of Parks and Rec is widely regarded as much worse than the rest of the show, luckily it's short

Just finished watching The Expanse season 2 which finished on a great plot advancement for season 3 and gutted Preacher season 2 has just ended :(

Once the latest season of Suits has finished I'll be at a loose end!
