I think the move to Spike and more money has all been spent on fake blood, jebus there's a lot of killing!! Why knock someone out, when you can slit their throat!

 

It does look more action-packed, and they've cut the blond lad's hair so he looks less girlie, but I am still going to be good.

It does bug me that the opening credits music seems to be ripped straight out of Tron Legacy though.

 

@GuyJD I suspect the music sound they were going for was the early 80's synth show intro, although I had to do a double take as I did think it sounded very like Daft Punks Tron Legacy effort.

 

I thought they were going for "John Carpenter"

 

 

(Which, I think, makes it Synthwave).

 

BTW, if you listen to the soundtrack on Spotify you get a custom overlay that places the window in the Upside Down with a torch beam showing track progress.

Watched the last of Red Dwarf series 12 last night on UK TV Play. Great series!

Still a lot of big sweeping shots and plenty of CG, just more rusty pylon sets! My take is that S1 was a build up, introduce the characters and the world, save the Ellcrys, blah, blah. This season is focused so far on stopping the return of the Warlock Lord and the actual Shannara plus sword etc. Not much mention of the previous season really at all. Give it a go, if you can find a slot, they are releasing 2 episodes at a time "to create a more cinematic experience"

 

I read on a forum somewhere last week that S3 has been cancelled so this might be the last series. Shame really.

 

I'm just working my way through his books at the moment.

Just realised today that Peaky Blinders Season 4 has just started last night. This is by far one of the best series I have watched in a while. Well worth it if you like old timey gangster type stories.

 

Oh and series 21 of South Park still continues to be funny. The fact that Cartman has a girlfriend though is still a bit weird.

Ooh we watched it yesterday. It’s not a spoiler to say that the first episode was suitably violent with the occasional laugh. (As usual for this series!)

Being off work for couple weeks after an op, had a change to catch up with a bunch of stuff i've wanted to watch for ages. Main these:

Watch the film also, was alright, went a bit to far with the second story in it.

 

Psychoville : On par with LoG loved the storyline and all the charater including Mr Jolly!... no Mr Jelly!
