mikeprice Posted January 25, 2018 Posted January 25, 2018 Yup - love No 9 use to know someone who lived just round the corner from there as well!
ICTDirect_Dave Posted January 30, 2018 Posted January 30, 2018 The latest few episodes of Discovery were pretty great! Also, up to date on Lucifer finally. That was an excellent reveal towards the end of the first half. And the standalone flashback episode was superb! 2
admars Posted February 2, 2018 Posted February 2, 2018 didn't like the first episode of this series of Inside No 9, but I applaud them for doing something different, just wasn't our cup of tea, anyway, they've made up for it since Trying to avoid spoilers, love the way that it can go from being a serious drama, to slapstick, to normal comedy, then a very dark twist. We just watched the house selling one, then the wedding photographer one, which I thought started off slow, and was an OK drama about a couple's troubled relationship, then went to genius
sparkeh Posted February 2, 2018 Author Posted February 2, 2018 No. 9 is on great form. The award panel one was a dip as mrs_sparkeh and I both twigged from early on what the deal was so spoilt it a bit. The rest though, genius.
mavhc Posted February 4, 2018 Posted February 4, 2018 I'm trying to watch The Family Ness with my nieces, but 1 episode can't find anywhere, and 1 only in a terrible vhs copy in spanish. Turns out people in Peru love it. So if anyone recorded it in 1986, please digitise.
CAWJames Posted February 5, 2018 Posted February 5, 2018 (edited) Last episode of Discovery from last week, not yesterdays(haven't seen that yet), amazing, some real didn't see that coming moments! Also Black Lightning on Netflix, actually not sucky. Edited February 5, 2018 by CAWJames
Norphy Posted February 5, 2018 Posted February 5, 2018 They're really knocking them out of the park with Discovery at the moment. I enjoyed the first half of the season but the second half has been spectacular. I hope they continue the momentum into the second series
caffrey Posted February 5, 2018 Posted February 5, 2018 For some reason, I've really started enjoying Kamen Rider. Currently watching Drive and have Gaim queued up next - I really shouldn't be watching this stuff at my age!
elsiegee40 Posted February 5, 2018 Posted February 5, 2018 We’ve been watching Hugh’s Wild West - BBC2 which has been fascinating on UK wildlife. I particularly recommend episode 3 with Dormice and Long Tailed Tits We also caught up with Gordon Buchanan’s Animals with cameras - BBC1 last night. Meerkats, chimps and penguins... you can’t go wrong
unixman_again Posted February 5, 2018 Posted February 5, 2018 The original (and best) Battlestar Glactica which started on Forces TV, Sat & Sun nights.
mavhc Posted February 5, 2018 Posted February 5, 2018 The original (and best) Battlestar Glactica which started on Forces TV, Sat & Sun nights. Heh. At least it's not Galactica 1980, that was so bad. I need to watch The Mash Report, didn't realise it was a thing, s1 is a bit hard to get
XiJ Posted February 5, 2018 Posted February 5, 2018 The original (and best) Battlestar Glactica which started on Forces TV, Sat & Sun nights. While i loved that as a child - and of course Glen A Larson could do no wrong, I enjoyed the recent series so much more. But thanks for the heads up. Will be watching some of the Originals.
CAWJames Posted February 5, 2018 Posted February 5, 2018 All I remember from the original series was flying motorbikes, but then again I was only born in '78, so can't have been that old when it was shown on uk tv
SHimmer45 Posted February 5, 2018 Posted February 5, 2018 altered carbon is pretty good in the few episodes i have watched so far

GuyJD Posted February 5, 2018 Posted February 5, 2018 Yeah, but that's not every episode, so annoyingoh sorry I read what you said wrong, I thought you were missing episode 1
LeMarchand Posted February 7, 2018 Posted February 7, 2018 It is with heavy heart that I have to inform you all of the demise of "Once Upon A Time". It's returning (US schedule) in March for a few more eps and then that's it. On one hand I think the show had a perfectly good finale last year and didn't really need to go for the relaunch, but on the other this season has been much better than the last few set in Storybrooke. Apart from Cinderella/Jacinda who is really annoying; it's a shame that Ivy/Drizella is such an evil B as she seems a much better match for Henry. Hoping the creators do have the "proper ending" plan they claim: ‘Once Upon a Time’ To End With Season 7 – Variety
Dos_Box Posted February 7, 2018 Posted February 7, 2018 altered carbon is pretty good in the few episodes i have watched so far Just finished it. It's like The Killing set in the future although not quite as gripping. Still very watchable though.
korifugi Posted February 9, 2018 Posted February 9, 2018 Decided to give The Grand Tour another go for the second season... They've now moved mostly back to the 'Top Gear' format. This is a good thing as it's now much better than the rather confused first season.

LeMarchand Posted February 9, 2018 Posted February 9, 2018 Now up to date with Discovery in preparation for the season finale. It's getting better and better; the last 2 eps were brilliant. 2
mikeprice Posted February 9, 2018 Posted February 9, 2018 We have been watching Silent Witness - which is normally quite good (if you accept a bit of dramatic license) however the last double episode was SO sloppy it was just annoying at one point the main character was wandering through a crime scene with blood all over her CSI suit and then proceeded to go across a large lawn and wander around a forest all the time in a bright white csi suit and with someone shooting at police etc really spoiled it in the meantime - love KIRI 1

Completely unlikely love interest development for Nikki. So, next double episode she goes to the USA, Matt gets a bullet and she investigates? I like Silent Witness. The last double episode made me cross. 1
admars Posted February 9, 2018 Posted February 9, 2018 last 2 episodes of Inside No 9 tonight, they were good, last one was really good, nice and dark This series wasn't as good as previous ones though, but glad it's got another one coming.
