i mean i would prefer to jump through the couple of hoops needs for KMS which makes licensing pretty fire and forget so to speak

MAK keys would need to be installed on servers KMS would be "cleaner" as you would only have to change one license key on the KMS server which would activate all the others

id say redo the deployment and it is correct otherwise you will be forever tripping over this. if your using MDT etc you can set the language at deployment time

built my 1st PC in almost a decade and setting on a basic AMD 5600G and A520 in a nice small case etc lovely and compact excellent as you do when you have a new build you are looking and temps and the like. finding that W11 is refusing to drop the clock speed below 3Ghz so the little box is rather hot having a rummage around the internet it appears that W11 and AMD have had or are having issues! what is this the early 90's? despite installing patches from MS and AMD the problem persists and had to resort to a custom power plan which does allow the OS to drop the core speeds down to 2.5Ghz anyone else seen this issue / found a way to resolve it

+1 for MDT . Norton Ghost suite used to have the feature you describe as you could reboot the PC using the "ghost agent" to start an image process

I use mine all the time on the back of my set of active speakers no complaints here. but then it does feel like a very cut down chromecast and as such they dont need both

Hi all, i will be shortly moving to another role where they use Cisco switching, ive down most of my networking experience on HP equipment so was looking at either purchasing a cisco switch to get a feel for how the product looks and feels, (firmware upgrades the layout of the web interface and the CLI) suggestions on what to go for. Do they provide a free version of packet tracer as an alternative to purchasing a switch - some of the stuff i have found for packet tracer looks rather iffy as they are not on a cisco site.

you can use a direct pointer to the application instead of using the appid which works better

ok this might work for you but i did the following: Create the layout as you require and then if you go to appdata\local\microsoft\windows folder in the root of that there should be 3 files appsFolder.itemdata-ms appsFolder.itemdata-ms.bak appsFolderLayout.bin if you put this in the same location but in the default user directory it should do what you need and they will be able to add and remove items if they wish

do you mean the Tile section if so yes. if so yes i can tell you what you need to move to make it appear. its does add stuff to the all apps section as that is still populated in the traditional way.

you can create a start layout and then lift the file it creates directly from the profile and drop it into default user this works with pro as i did this for some hideous Linx tablets.

I use the server manager open files to see who is accessing the share we have SIMS on, not up to the minute but gives a good indication

i recon you will be sticking with LTSB if you know your not going to need the "extras".

if you dont want to use LTSB mount the wim for the version you want and use DISM to remove the app bloat even before the OS is installed.

if you get-appxpackage and then get appxprovisioned package are there differences in the list. as it sounds like the app has been removed from "provisioned" but not from the user account i think

remove appxprovisioned-package in powershell & the allusers option for provisioned package should do the trick

if you have deployed a reference machine from MDT/SCCM you would have run or changed the machine using Administrator or have you done it using just a normal account which you created yourself after installing the OS. TBH id remove the garage apps from the wim before hand so they are physically not present to be installed.

u need to remove the apps for the "administrator" account as well as all users as they need to "match"
