  1. Federated access to internal resources for external users and partners through Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS) Better management of certificates and smart card enrollment with Advanced Certificate Management Services (AD CS) I see no reason why (AD DS) is not supported.
  2. 1. Exchange 2007 SP1 is not supported anymore, I sugges you upgrade to at SP3 + latest RU (I think it's RU6). 2. If the MAC is not connected to the domain, then how can it resolve the Exchange addresses/services. 3. You need to configure OA or if you want to use OWA, then just pop open the browser and go the externally published namespace.
  3. If you mean it fails for circular logging I assume you mean it doesn't clear the transactions logs. Peform a FULL or and INCRE backup, these should flush the logs after the backup.

  5. Im sure you have to setup a policy too and assign to usres IIRC
  6. staff aren't bothered, there only difference between your solution and Glenda's is that you're using a DL where as Glenda's is using a mailbox, both have to use the send as permission. User will still be bothered as they have to select the email they wish to use in the from field. That part isnt automatic as the default (primary smtp) will always be used. Advantage of Glenda's is that you can add it as an additional mailbox if required and use that mailbox if needed.
  7. 1. Use an Internal CA or a 3rd party cert. 2. If using a 3rd party cert, configure your internal and external URL to the same namespace. 3. Easy thing would be to get SAN cert and include the FQDN of your exch server.
  8. Exch version? Checked all exch services? Checked app logs?
  9. Exchangepedia | How To Allow Relaying in Exchange 2010 and Exchange 2007 Setup application relay.

  11. Only one thing I can think of is OWA segmentation and you can hide delegate access, apart from that you will have to start customising OWA which I can't comment on. Set-OwaVirtualDirectory: Exchange 2010 Help
  12. +1 - Agree with Glenda
  13. that config is fine, however, for Exch HA I would setup a DAG.
  14. you need to have the common name as remote.{domain}.com Creating via IIS is not supported, you have to do it via EMC or EMS.
  15. That image doesn show why they are queued, you will need to et this when it's queued, and open the queue in question and check. Also, check you app logs on the HUB, do they report anything around the time of incident or are there any warnings at all?
  16. When the message are in the queue, what reason does it state? Use queue viewer and scroll to the right and check
  17. 1. If you didnt see IIS, then you need to assign the cert to IIS as well. Using the previous command, use the thumbprint and enable it for IIS - Enable-ExchangeCertificate: Exchange 2007 Help
  18. 1. Run Get-ExchangeCertificate | fl from the shell and check the output and see what is assigned to IIS? 2. Run OWA Connectivity test and see what that reports - Test-OwaConnectivity: Exchange 2007 Help
  19. 1. Which version of Exch? 2. I assume the issue is with all users? 3. So when connecting internally, in IE do you get the 64 error? 4. Can you repro the issue and PM me the IIS logs?
  20. 1. Try via OWA. I dont see this being an issue wth Exch, but more of an desktop issue. May be printer drivers, Outlook, OS related.
  21. 1. Are you using a 3rd party cert on your own internal CA? 2. Can you access OWA internally? 3. Can you see and post the exact error from the site and from IIS logs?
  22. 1. There are a few causes for this which I have seen. It can be due it Inline attachments mentioned above. 2. Outlook security settings ( which I doubt). 3. Message encoding. Typically it's 1.
  23. 1. You should ideally look to move from 2003 to 2010 and use the DAG feature, minimal downtime and only takes a few mins to failover. 2. For 2003 either cluster Exch. 3. Or have a hot standby server, i.e with OS installed. ready to install Exch with the /disaterrecover switch, then you can restore DB to it.
  24. 1. Using Active-Sync? 2. Wifi - Is this connected to your LAN or is this external Wifi? 3. Tried the ActiveSync Internal URL?
