  5. Hi You will have to configure the CAS servers in each site for HA. This means you with have to use WNL or HLB. The create a CAS array. If you three server as in your example, in each site. I would make two host both roles, HT and CAS. This will provide redundacny using the methods above. So, your client will NOT connect to the other CAS server if one fails n Site A Regards Sukh
  6. Hi Under the Windows PE Phase there are 2 keys. 1. Microsoft-Windows-Setup\UserData\ProductKey\Key Specifies the Windows image to install during Windows Setup. If this setting is used by itself, Windows Welcome will prompt for a product key. 2. Microsoft-Windows-Shell-Setup\ProductKey Specifies a Product Key to activate Windows. If this setting is used, Windows Welcome will not prompt for a product key. This setting can be used with Microsoft-Windows-Setup\UserData\ProductKey\Key, and the two product keys can be different. If you are using a Volume License Multiple Activation Key (MAK), it must be specified using this setting. Can you try this? Regards Sukh
  7. Hi The suggestion to use the Autounattend.xml was to validate your answer file. If we can get the computer joined to the domain then I guess we can elminate Network Type as Work as all computers joined to the domain will show as Domain.
  8. Hi Nathan I fully understand and thanks for highlighting. For this reason, backups should in place whereby you can restore tracking logs. However, this is where an archiving/journaling solution should be in place to comply with legal and compliance. Message tracking will only show if the message was received or sent whereas archiving/journaling will actually keep the email in tact. Regards Sukh
  9. Hi It will depend on how many logs have been generated which is dependent on your mail flow in your Exchange Org. You need to have a baseline. Check the historical logs and see how many are generated per day. Allow some room for unexpected traffic and then set on all your HTS and MBS. Are your HTS and MBS roles seperated? Regards Sukh
  10. Hi You can specify many parameters such as log file size, location, age, folder size etc.. From your config output, the "MessageTrackingLogMaxDirectorySize" is the default 250MB. Which means tracking logs will get deleted after this directory has reached this limit. Therefore if you want to keep logs for 6 months, you have to consider this limit too otherwise you logs will be deleted. In addition to this, you have to set the "MessageTrackingLogMaxAge" which I showed above. Please see Configure Message Tracking: Exchange 2010 SP1 Help for further information. Regards Sukh
  11. Hi How did it go? Regards Sukh
  12. Hi I can understand that. If you have the disk space then you can configure this. Also, if you do need to track a message older than the configured threshold, then providing you have backups in place, you can always restore the logs and analyse them. What would you do if a user says I sent a message 7 months ago? Normally, in my experience, users tend to request confirmation of email if the intended recipient did not reply back or contact them when they were expecting an answer. This depends our your environment. Set-TransportServer YourExchangeServerName -MessageTrackingLogMaxAge 180.00:00:00 (for HT) Set-MailboxServer YourExchangeServerName -MessageTrackingLogMaxAge 180.00:00:00 (for MBS) Regards Sukh
  13. Hi It depends on the amount of traffic which goes through your email system 1. Why would you want to keep 6 months? 2. Normally, 30-40 days would be fine. 3. Tracking logs configured on HTS and MBS. Regards Sukh

Or copy the Autounattend.xml to the root od the DVD which has the Windows 7 source files. Note: Windows 7 Setup (Setup.exe) will begin automatically. 24. Hi What if you use HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer!NoViewOnDrive Prevents users from using My Computer to gain access to the content of selected drives.\n\n\nIf you enable this setting, users can browse the directory structure of the selected drives in My Computer or Windows Explorer, but they cannot open folders and access the contents. Also, they cannot use the Run dialog box or the Map Network Drive dialog box to view the directories on these drives.\n\n\nTo use this setting, select a drive or combination of drives from the drop-down list. To allow access to all drive directories, disable this setting or select the "Do not restrict drives" option from the drop-down list.\n\n\nNote: The icons representing the specified drives still appear in My Computer, but if users double-click the icons, a message appears explaining that a setting prevents the action.\n\n\n Also, this setting does not prevent users from using programs to access local and network drives. And, it does not prevent them from using the Disk Management snap-in to view and change drive characteristics.\n\n\nAlso, see the "Hide these specified drives in My Computer" setting. Is avaliable with WindowsExplorer.admx What is it that the users are trying to do to the c: drive? Regards Sukh

Hi Is the hard disk an internal HD? Have you tried to go into Safe Mode and delete this file? Can you run a chkdsk and see if there are any errors on that drive? Also, have you got any 3rd party tool such as ERD which will allow you to access the disk without booting into Windows? Regards Sukh
