  4. Hi OK, so using the test OU allows you to deploy the printer via a NEW GPO to the staff but not students WITHOUT the 3rd party intergration? Let me know if the issue is still around or not. Thanks Sukh
  5. Hi Remove the \\ Command should be like Get-Mailbox -database "SERVERNAME\DATABASE NAME" | set-mailbox -recipientlimits 3 Regards Sukh

  8. Hi You are disabling file and print on that server, not for that user logged on that server accessing other servers files and share if this isn't disabled. For exchange you need 25 for communication via SMTP. If use POP3 or IMAP or http for exchange then you have to open these too. In addition to a number of others ports for DNS, LDAP, replication etc...there are a few. Why are you deploying a firewall on your server internally? Regards Sukh
  9. Hi Can you create a temp OU with a user and computer in there and create a new GPO and test. Then use same policy to and assign to students. Login as user and see if the GPO has been applied. Let me know how that goes and then we can troubleshoot further.
  10. Hi You have P2V an OEM machine, the COA stays the same. You are still licensed. Regards Sukh
  11. Hi Like everyone said. Contact AER they should know. If you have SCCM then you can perform discovery and use asset management to check software deployed against what you are covered for. Regards Sukh nst inst $emt
  12. Hi Paul Quite a few docs there. The 300 Units still appies to pre EES CASA-EES but NOT OVS-ES. When MSFT first launched the programme Dec 2010, the 300 units still applied. However at the time of launch, the programme was not available in the EMEA. Therefore does not apply now to any EES. Thanks Sukh
  13. Hi Paul You mention "The '300 unit' minimum no longer exists, as this applied to HE/FE customers before the new program launched at the start of March for Schools If a School has 1000+ FTE's then they can start an EES agreement - which is transacted only via the EDLAR channel ". Not sure if you saw my reply but PM me as this is not how I understand it. Microsoft have told me different as stated above. Thanks Sukh
  14. Hi Thanks for the reply. I didn't have a chance to look into it more but I the passes are important. Specialise will come after PE. I will have a look at the unattend.xml so I can put my mind at rest. The oobeSystem pass is the only section where the NetworkLocation will be applied. If your PC is joining the domain then this will be "Domain" anyway. Alternatively, you can set a GPO for this. Let me know if this is an issue andif you want to continue troubleshooting this particular pass. Thanks Sukh
  15. Hi Dsquared2 1. Can you please check the authentication setting for OWA. 2. Can you also post a clear capture of the prompt. 3. When you checked the setting I posted, can confirm Basic Authentication is ticked in addition to Windows Authentication? 4. You say it's defaulting to the users local machine. Can you confirm this happens when a user tries to access OWA, say from home? Regards Sukh
  16. Hi The main difference is the features you get. With ultimate you get some professional features which are targeted at corporations. The Microsoft site explains the different editions. Depending on the key you uise, this will activate home or ultimate features. Regards Sukh
  17. Hi No problem at all. Regards Sukh

  21. Hi @Overworked For no additional license cost, the institution’s faculty and staff can take advantage of Work At Home (WAH) rights for any of the application, system, and CAL products you order for institution use. With these rights, the primary user of a campus desktop PC can use the licensed product on a home desktop PC for work purposes only. Users are not licensed to use the WAH licensed product at home for personal use. Distribution options for work at home software are similar to the options detailed below for Student Option. The Home Use Program (HUP), a benefit of the Microsoft Software Assurance coverage included with the agreement is also available. With HUP, faculty and staff members can get Microsoft Office system software to use on their home desktop PCs for both work and personal use at a nominal cost. Providing the HUP licensed product is easy for the institution. Once the institution’s Software Assurance benefits administrator activates the benefit, individual faculty and staff members can order and pay for shipping of their licensed product online. Employees can now also download their HUP software electronically. This reduces deployment cots and import duties, and is a “green” alternative. In addition, a customer whose faculty are using Office products at home is more likely to renew their subscription. Please note that institutions are not permitted to provide licensed product with the same title to any individual faculty or staff member using both HUP and WAH. Regards Sukh

  25. Hi Thin clients- What OS? How did you connect before? Can you check the R2 Server event logs and post the exact error message. Ensure no GPP is being applied controlling the setting. To configure Network Level Authentication for a connection On the RD Session Host server, open Remote Desktop Session Host Configuration. To open Remote Desktop Session Host Configuration, click Start, point to Administrative Tools, point to Remote Desktop Services, and then click Remote Desktop Session Host Configuration. Under Connections, right-click the name of the connection, and then click Properties. On the General tab, select the Allow connections only from computers running Remote Desktop with Network Level Authentication check box. If the Allow connections only from computers running Remote Desktop with Network Level Authentication check box is selected and is not enabled, the Require user authentication for remote connections by using Network Level Authentication Group Policy setting has been enabled and has been applied to the RD Session Host server. Click OK. Regards Sukh
