Yes one of your clients have some jobs setup so when it runs it downloads the dara from MIS and then sends that data up to database. We start the a client first thing in the morning so it runs the sco jobs and send lasted data to tucasi. If we need to update during the day we just restart the client software and wait 10mins.

We are about to decommission our old server that has Symantec 12 for our network running on and it Is going onto a nice new VM 2012r2 How best am I to do this, we do not want to redo our clients 500+ Is there a way of mirgrating to a new server and then update the symlink.xml and then turn off the old server???

Hi, 1) Does anyone know of any online booking system for trips - We want to send out a email to parents saying for example please click here to go to ..... and see trip/details and payment they then can give conset etc online This is instead of sending letters home or at least cutting down the amount of letters going out - and reply slips not coming back. We currently have tucasi but that is only payments online. 2) anyone got any good Sims Intouch user guides that we can have copies of please what capita have got are not even worth burning. That is the problem staff creating groups and not doing that, what i want is away to have private set as default for the domain that way if staff forget it do not matter.

Hi All, Due to some staff not setting correct privacy settings when creating 365 groups, i need to be able to change the default setting to private is there anyway in powershell that this can be done so that when staff create groups it defaults to private and not public. Thanks Stuart

I need some Idea preferable Clean and IT related All the staff here are being given a £1 pound lucky dip item and have to thing of something to do with it related to our job I have ended up with 10 Plastic Balls (Ball Pond size) So what ICT related thing can you guys come up with for me as I have gone brain dead. Had same issue tried all normal fixes but just found this tried it and it worked Windows Installer Service - Broken by Windows Updates | The Rambling Techie Try it.

DNS, Smoothwall/Internet Intermittent Fault

We had the same issue when we moved to a new bb provider ours turn out to be the winhttp settings clients. But we also found out that the DNS forwarders need to be on the AD DNS and not the SMoothwall and that fixed it for us within 20mins Stuart -

Hi I need to reset the winhttp settings on all our domain computers as we have moved proxy server We have done some machines manual but with in excess of 500+ desktops and laptops I need to seend out the netsh cmd either from gpo or logon/power on. I cannot find the right registry to export so I cannot do it that way unless someone knows different We are a rm cc4.3 network with 2008 r2 servers and windows 7 machines RM no help. Thanks Stuart

Thnaks to al lfor replys, we have found the problem we think just testing it was winhttp settings still holding old proxy settings ran proxycfg.exe and reset proxy setting and all works as it should.

Hi Guys, We have just moved BB away from the LA to SchoolsBroad band and also we have a smoothie install as filter,gateway etc Since we moved we are having a couple if little issues that are really annoying 1) we keep getting "Revocation information for the security certificate for this site is not available Click Yes, No or View Certificate. This does not happen on every machine or every user and it happens on different https sites. we have the smoothie wall certificate for https inspection install at GPO could it be this has not installed on the machine??? Do we need to open any port/ip's on smoothwall to all for checking. We are a bit stuck. The other issue is when we first open an internet page it can take up to 5 mins for the website to appear once on all is okay. We have dns setup okay we think people have looked at and said all seems okay. Is there anyway of tracing the exact route a webpage is taking for dns so we can see if it is bottle necking/looping etc as this is starting really effect the daily flow. THanks Stuart

We had it done end of last year, there are some speed issues if you are using the comm modules as all the data is online so when its syncs it sends all data to online database. thinks just seem to take 2-3 times longer. Support are working on the issues, The only warning i would give once you have upgraded you cannot go back to local so if you lose internet connection then you cannot do anything.

We need to try and set the Print Spooler to Automatic (delayed Start) I have gone into the server GPO to change the setting but that option not there it is just Automatic Manual Disabled Can anyone please enlighten me as how I can achieve this via a gpo or other central method We are running Win2008r2 with w7 workstations CC4 Thanks in advance Stuart

Hi all Hope someone can help We have just Bought a phaser 3320 Xerox office network printer. Problem: If as admin on windows 7 cc4 workstation you try and multiprint a page it prints fine no problems. BUT if as a normal user you try and print same document multiple times all prints is the number of copies you have requested to printed For example I want 4 copyies of a document(Does not matter what type of document) all it prints is 1 page with the number 4 on it. It is using the PCL 6 drivers This happens on any computer. I spoke to Xerox and they where not to sure what problem was and would get back to me but that was 2 weeks ago. We have turn off the RAM disk on the printer. Any one have any bright ideas please. Stuart

We use SMHW and what you want it to do I cannot see it doing this, We use our VLe (Moodle) for tasks like this we set the homework in SMHW and then linkl to the moodle assignment that then allows submission and marking and resubmission.
