Have just cabled in and setup a Xerox Workcentre 7220. Installed the driver on all of the machines in the school. These machines are a mix of Windows XP 32-bit and Windows 7 64-bit. All but 5 Windows XP machines have installed and can print but 5 XP machines just will not print. They can see the printer, pull info from it. I can ping, web access it but no matter what I do it will not print and doesn't even try. Tried removing the printer from Print Server, removing and re-adding the port - still no good. Tried the Kyocera printer driver cleanup util which took everything out, did the reboot, clean install and still the same. The only thing that these machine don't have in common with the rest of the estate is that I put the driver on in readiness for my work today a couple of weeks ago. The rest of the machines I installed today without issue. I am well and truly stumped. There's not even any entry in Eventviewer... Any ideas?

Hi all Hope someone can help We have just Bought a phaser 3320 Xerox office network printer. Problem: If as admin on windows 7 cc4 workstation you try and multiprint a page it prints fine no problems. BUT if as a normal user you try and print same document multiple times all prints is the number of copies you have requested to printed For example I want 4 copyies of a document(Does not matter what type of document) all it prints is 1 page with the number 4 on it. It is using the PCL 6 drivers This happens on any computer. I spoke to Xerox and they where not to sure what problem was and would get back to me but that was 2 weeks ago. We have turn off the RAM disk on the printer. Any one have any bright ideas please. Stuart

We run a very basic printing environment with a Windows print server. Sometimes, I need to be able to check things quickly, like pending/completed jobs and ink status. This can be done via the printers themselves by logging in individually through their HTTP management pages, although with Xerox, there is no list of completed jobs and generally it's a poor experience. In Windows, the driver includes some very useful software that can monitor the status of a printer, however I can't figure out how to open the software to check the status of any printer, without having the printer installed and using the Printer Preferences button in Settings. The software also auto opens when a job has been sent to print and shows you the status. For example, if I choose the printer in Windows Settings and then click Printing Preferences, I get a lovely UI. I want to be able to open this to view the status of any printer, but I don't want to add every printer to my computer and then click the printing preferences button to get there. The program responsible for showing this lovely UI is (part of the Xerox driver): C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\x64\3\x3jobt02T.exe This executable is capable of showing the print status of any Xerox printer, but I don't know the parameters to pass through to it that Windows uses when clicking the Printing preferences button. If you run the exe standalone, it says: ---------------------------Application Execution was Terminated.--------------------------- Job Tracker requires a Printer Name parameter provided to run effectively. ---------------------------OK --------------------------- Does anyone know how I can figure out what the parameters are, and how to correctly pass through the parameters so I can open this print status software based on the name or IP of the printer?

Hi, I’ve got a Xerox phaser 6010 which has an error message saying it has a paper jam open rear panel. When looking, there is no paper in the printer anywhere. I’ve turned the printer off and on but it has no effect, I’ve also tried add paper to the print tray (this was some advice given) the display screen doesn’t acknowledge that the rear print door is open, although I’m not too sure if it’s meant to when there is a paper jam. There are no obvious problems in the printer and nothing seems to be stuck. Has anyone else had this problem or got any ideas on how to solve this? Thanks

We've recently started a trial into using a single print queue for our school. Most of the users we have have no issues using PCs to send jobs to the copiers and collecting said jobs form the copiers. However, we have around five users who can send the job to the copier, log on at the copier via the Safecom card scanner, see the job there, select it, but no job is ever printed. 1) We have refreshed the network profile and the local profile. 2) All users get the same Pull Print driver. 3) On the Safecom server the users have been removed and re-added and their cared updated to reflect the changes. The issue still persists. Does anyone have experience with Xerox and the Safecom single print queue system who could advise us. Our supplier for both devices keeps reiterating that it isn't the Safecom or Xerox device that is at fault and that it is stemming from the user profiles on the PCs.

Hi, We implemented Papercut a few months ago for Xerox MFDs and I have been entering estimated per copy costs in the charging rules in the Papercut portal. So far so good. However, when I run a report which breaks down printing, scanning and photocopying, the photocopying costs are not appearing. I thought if I entered the information in the charging rules, this would apply to printing and copying. I cannot see where I would enter the copy costs for each MFD for them to be calculated in the Department print/copy/scan/fax - breakdown report. Any ideas? We are still running v16.1. Thanks in advance
