I'm awkward, If they just turned with them then it would definately put me off. I wouldn't send them back but I would consider you a second rate supplier. Unless it was very clear before I ordered them. If I knew what I was getting and you suppiled what I ordered then that's no problem at all. I just don't like surprises when my order arrives. When we order new kit it often comes with Microsoft mouse and keyoard. I remember when almost every new PC came with a Cherry keyboard. But if I ordered a dell I wouldn't expect a HP keyboard. Refurb is a different matter. I would much rather have a new mis matched keboard than the original one cleaned up. I must echo what others have said though. Make sure they are all the same in bulk orders. I like things just so. If i have a suite and the keyboards are all different it would just annoy me. Be upfront, tell people what they are getting and make sure they get just that. It wouldn't put me off placing an order.

Apple configurator for iPads. It easy to use if all you want to do is what your overlords at Apple deem acceptable. Personally I find anything Apple frustrating and annoying. (for F-Annoy than Fan-boi). Still to tackle Droids and we have no plans to go Win Surface. Especially not RT.

Technically you may lose a little quality as converting from HDMI to VGA as VGA is an analog signal. Though to be honest I really don't think this would be noticable on a desktop monitor with a 1.2m cable. If you are concerned You'd be better finding any monitors you have with a DVI connector and giving them to the staff with the NUCs. HDMI and DVI use compatible signals, no convertion is required and signal integrity is maintained.

Definately go for a new server while you can. May be look at how you use RAID. Personally I would load the old server with as much ram as it would take and hyper-v it. I would then look at moving MIS or somthing else onto it for load balencing. If you have anything that needs a SQL DB, like Corereo or SIMS say that would be ideal. Maybe even look at CC4 Anywhere or set up a vanilla Citrix server. There's so much you can do with a virtual box. If you virtualised the first server too you could look at backing it up to the old one and then firing up the VM if your 1st server dies.

I don't know it exactly. But the 2830 is the error code. 0058523 is the page count. You can probaly confirm that from the web interface if you can't print a status sheet. I don't know 2830 but error messages in the 2000 range for Kyocera I've know have been motor issues along the paper path somewhere. If not the rollers then the tray lift motors. That's my best guess I'm afriad.

I can see where you are coming from on this. The AP in the ceiling isn't going to be moved much. But it is still cutting corners. The correct way to do it is mount an ethernet socket in a box close by the AP and patch it from there. I think the OP isn't talking about that end of the wire though.He's talking about a patch panel in the cab. Are you suggesting that RJ45 solid core plugs are an acceptable alternative to a patch panel?

Isn't mouse trails included in accessability options? RMMC User/properties/rights/. That would be a roaming profile setting so it would follow the student round and not affect anyone else who uses the computer after them. I'll try it and get back to you, I know it enable screen magnifier,sticky keys etc , just not sure about Mouse trails. Just remember that if you ever reset their profile it would need to be switched on again (by the user not in RMMC). EDIT: Yes, once Accessability options are turned on the student can go into control Panel/Mouse/pointer Options and switch it on. It's a policy change so it takes effect at the next log in.

@Karir You have the choice to use either VNC o RDP. The main difference between managed and unmanaged is that you can access a managed station while it's un-attended. I generally have one of these per client network. The unmanaged stations (you get 500 free) can still audit, run scripts, email alerts and you can connect to as long as there is someone there to accept the session. It tracks your licences and adds it to the invoice. It doesn't really do much for printers and switches. But you can script it to.

Thinking about this again, I think the most elegant solution would be to use one of these http://www.amazon.co.uk/HannsG-HT231HPB-Widescreen-Touchscreen-Monitor/dp/B00FMB15TC. and use the screen keyboard for the tablet tools. Then when you switch layout the keyboard changes too. I swear this monitor is gorgeous! It's big enough to give you a full size keyboard and it can be easily tilted almost flat for a good typing position. We bought one of these monitors and I think we'll need 100 more before summer everyone who sees it wants one. If you put In portrait mode you would get a better monitor aspect ratio and still get a laptop sized keyboard.

Would be really interesting. I am willing be corrected but I'm fairly certain DFS is a server feature only. There are alternatives but I'm really not sure how successful They'd be. Its targeted at servers keeping file stores replicated across WAN rather than local storage where the replication partners are unreliable. I've subscribed to this thread, please let us know how you get on.

That's kinda a given. But with that said there is nothing to stop you having two USB keyboards plugged in and Left Alt + Shift when you pick up the alternaitve one. We do that all the time with Primary and Assisted Access devices.
