    oh man the gt710 is such a poor value card! But I understand you'll have trouble finding any modern card with a VGA output as they all don't support it. The built in vega APUs also do not support it if you go AMD btw! Get something with an extra display port, these adapt to vga very well, as they're supposed to.     why not update the boot wim from a win10 2004 iso? maybe a driver / firmware change is upsetting desktops.

I have a mix of osram and hue, (you don't need philips software crud) just have the echo find it I have automated my lights, so my bedroom lamp comes on at 20 minutes before sunset. (as it knows sunset time day by day) Also I have a pasta routine that make my study light turn on when the pasta has been on for 45 minutes. ("computer pasta sauce") as you can change the trigger word to computer for the startrek nerd in you and other dork stuff. The amazon ecosystem is quite good, with drop in and the blink security cameras work with the firestick (if you get one) "show me outside"

    A teacher claims now that 2 of his emails have arrived to their recipients but without the attachments. in the message trace and I can see it was looked at by my gdpr DLP policy and the trace states a case number. When I look at my DLP dashboard there are 0 incidents. Does this mean it was just looked (by dlp) at and has nothing to do with the missing attachments? No alert has arrived to the sender and no recorded DLP alerts on the dashboard. ideas?

    I've been on ebay looking at 2080ti sold listings just to see the burn on people who bought a 2080ti before the 1st and the sellers post.. it's the same perverse pleasure I get from watching Olympic athletes fail. (That's what you get for trying)

    I like the epson ones as well, project on to a MAGNETIC white board. (this is because the magnetic boards are metal backed and are not wobbly like the cheaper ones (which looks fine for normal use but bad for a projection) and not the enamel boards as they don't wipe clean) make sure they're hung properly (some people just screw them to the wall rather than hang them using included mounts) This will warp the board to the walls shape which isn't always perfect. Anyhow Epson over whiteboard, teacher can use normal pens and project and interact all nice. We buy the biggest whiteboards we can fit (240x120) put the projector in the centre and the teacher has two columns either side for pen work (if displaying) You want Lacquered steel if you can get it just never enamel.     got some 440 G7 look nice, very fast and light. I upgraded one with a HDD as it has a spare sata space (cable and space for drive). The one I opened had a single 8gb DDR4 2666 module and a spare DDR4 slot next to it. They are tricky to get into (lot of clips) unlike the old ones. The battery is replaceable (after you open it up), ram is upgradeable as are both storage options. (included a NVMe 256gb) in my i5 models. Full size ethernet and HDMI on the laptop which is great. Using with USBC G5 docks for picture and power over a single cable. Can't speak to reliability as they only just gone into service. Edit: Clarification

    I pressed the start a new term button thinking it'd look like my instructions to start an archive. it didn't look like my instructions at all, so I cancelled. This was a mistake as it is now archiving the profile and I've set no options on how I want this done. Just an FYI I guess, I'll have to see what happens next..

    I use Tight VNC to access the Printers! All the sharp MFPs use VNC. It's quite odd. (Only for troubleshooting, or verifying a new layout of the menu)

    This is a Dynabook Portege a30-e-1jc that we have from the government. Here it is displaying and charging via USB-C. This is confusing and unexpected as the port does not say it supports either. I can't find the spec sheet saying the dynabook offers either displayport throughput or USB-C charging. This is using a HP USB-C DOCK G5 into a dynabook a30

    do your devices support tls 1.2 or above? o365 wont accept lower versions anymore.

    if you buy from apple direct they do 0% finance over 2 years, if your cash flow is an issue. £18 a month ish. This I would recommend over buying a re-con iphone. or if you can hold out with the turd you have until your savings get to where you need them. or ask a well to do relative if they're upgrading soon and offer a £100 cash as they tend to gift them to children without a thought.

    I'd bet the battery is dead, it'll state it in the logs or in the bios boot up if your eyes are fast enough. if the battery has gone it'll flip into this mode to prevent data loss (with unexpected power loss) but if the server isn't super important... ignore it. I have a few like this but they are unimportant servers doing 2nd backups. The performance hit seems to be minimal in that work load.

    The iphone SE (2) is looking like great value and super powerful. £420 quid. 5 year support. if you price your phone per year (as I do) then the se2 is great value. I'm currently rocking the original SE (still has support!)

    as the HP had mac address passthrough (I think the Dell ones do as well) I could use a single dock for all 20 laptops.. if you don't mind doing them 1 at a time. An imaging tool over wifi is a big ask.. I assumed you'd still use a usb ethernet adapter. Good luck.

    You can do it as I have done it! I can't remember how but I have the usb pxe boot for tablets and what not. what model are these laptops, if they have a dedicated docking station they may support mac address passthrough and of course pxe boot. (I used a hp usbc dock for my latest imaging) MDT was confusing to me so I gave up I didn't use it to create the key. EDIT: I found it, if you want the files. It was setup to look for any wds server.

    I'd guess that the best move now, it to expire the old profile and NOT allow previous access, this will remove all users pupils from the teams groups and archive them. if users in the future need them, then grant it. When you make a 3rd profile all new groups and correct users will be applied. Not ideal but the best I can think of. if you were using the csv method you could upload an old copy using the first profile (if it hasn't auto expired due to term dates) to fix things.

    ok, I've allowed "bing.com" (I wonder how that'll bite me in the buttocks) and even though its never been blocked in any of the reports the above link is now working on all three browsers. I'll keep you posted.

    I found that simply reordering the words allows it to work! The second issue is that these errors cause issues with office as office uses internet explorer quite intimately. The chrome based edge isn't erroring the above example link anymore. (edit: scratch that, it is again causing issues)

    I only occasionally get an http400 error using Bing, it doesn't always happen but it's been around for over a year and is becoming a pain. here is the url that get me a http 400 error https://www.bing.com/search?q=sharepoint+private+group+documents++visitors&qs=n&form=QBRE&sp=-1&pq=sharepoint+private+group+documents+visitors&sc=0-43&sk=&cvid=2A94B20C4D59498082521924D820DBF4 i was looking a sharepoint document permissions but that isn't important here.. if I loose documents from the query it works fine. if I put documents at the end of the query it works fine...? ideas? I used the url checker on the swgfl site and it is unblocked (or no rules block it explicitly) a three browsers get the same error (new edge old edge and ie11)

    thanks, so does it get a new name? I assume that the new notebook would want the class / team name/ will it be renamed?

    can someone tell me what happens to the associated teams class notebook? does it get renamed also? if pupils loose access do their sections get deleted?
