Teams has to be running.

Install a UST projector that also uses the whiteboard. This way the classroom layout doesn't have to change and the teacher can choose to use either. Plus a UST can't get damaged easily if a pupil chucks somin' at the board. (also you can get interactive ones that would use the same normal whiteboard)

This is going to be a web filtering issue surely. use the web based version of teams as a test pupil, use the inspect element by right clicking on something (to trick into the dev options) then use the network tab to see what is and isn't working for a pupil. (I assume you've blocked dev tools for pupils, thus the inspect element workaround)

I've created an it helpdesk channel in the General Staff group in Teams. it seems quite popular as other staff trawl through it an offer advice or commiserations. I'd tried spiceworks but always fell back to email.

I'd give it a C+ or B-. Terrible support, great hardware, meh software.

nope, I harvest them from older laptops. look on ebay for your laptop and parts sellers may have that bit.

I use salamander SDS but only to gather and store the CSVs just quit and don't upload through the tool. Then you can read the csv output and see if it is going to collide. I had to make sure that ours sims emails matched pupils actual emails as we use that as their username and that is how the sds matched the users.

Teams is currently getting a push like no other service we've ever used. The fact it creates the class groups through SDS is enough to help adoption. We even have staff quizzes and are doing weekly briefings through it. I got Teams running about 1 week before lockdown, thanks to rumblings here. without SDS it would have been a tough sell.

Been using azure ad sync for years and haven't touched it in an age. We recently got rid of the local exchange server and it's all good. BUT the pupils in AD don't show their email addresses. can adsync or should it write back to ad?

SAME, my DA server caps out at around 35 users... after that clients just sit there connecting. I only use iphttps. I asked swgfl if there were connection limits through the NAT and they stated that there is not.

yes, split tunnelling is on and recommended. The second I removed the DNS entry for wpad the clients started working much better. (its always been hit and miss) never occurred to me that the wpad was being accessed over DA. (Doh!)

I found the exception, durr… Strange however the laptops became sluggish and still had issues. I've gone the DHCP route. Now I have to manually add proxy settings to my servers!

@MattPrime, I need to do this exact thing! Do you have more detailed instructions? I could edit the GPO directly but that is not supported by M$ and I can't find it in the Wizard am I blind? Cheers!

The Teams APP is just the teams website wrapped in Chrome. So look at Chrome issues.

This is strange but I'm using SDS and all the teachers can create teams just fine. But I cannot! I changed my teams policy to teacher but still a no go. Pupils also cannot, I've applied no other policies. I'll assume SDS has done this somehow. Anyhow wanted to mention that the teams "app" is just the teams website wrapped in chrome. so the performance is identical.

every home colour laser I've tried has had mediocre image quality. (for photos) it looks like a bad newspaper image. I'd stick to a smaller cheaper mono laser printer and send off colour prints online (for photos)
