  1. Are these assigned an IP via DHCP - have they been assigned static IP's outside of the DHCP scope? This is what we have done as it makes the switches easier to manage.
  2. Sorry I forgot to look for ours - I'll have a look tomorrow. Cheers
  3. We don't have winning houses - the whole school just seems to go off to lightwater valley at the end of the year. The prize when we had house groups used to be going to the pictures.
  4. UK furniture manufacturer | Welcome to Isis - Isis Concepts also offer a similar product. We looked at installing them into our new LRC but the price put us off.
  5. I seen it at BETT not this year but the year before and I thought it was good - but a little pricey for our needs. If the cost was to ever drop we probably would be interested.
  6. I never got Tutor 3 working with CC3 even with all the hotfixes for the exact problems as the OP is facing on CC4 with Tutor 4.
  7. prezi.com stupeflix.com Any good?
  8. Problem was..... page breaks! I took them out as part of my whittling down process and now everything works as expected. No idea why the reports were fine pre-update and bust afterwards but thats kept me busy for a few days! Cheers for your help fellas!
  9. I think its about £500 per student we get here which is devolved back into department capitations.
  10. Same here as webman's school.
  11. Another thumbs up for smoothwall - does the job for us perfectly.
  12. Tried that and still no joy the other day Back to the drawing board!
  13. We've used schoolcomms for about 12 months with no issues - I had a quick look around BETT and most companies charge a similar amount. I would recommend schoolcomms but I haven't tried its competitiors. Do a search on here this quite a few similar topics with pro's and con's for most companies.
  14. From what I seen / heard they wouldn't last very long in pubs... not in my locals anyway!
  15. I've just done a session with parents tonight and recommended k9 web protection also.
  16. I bought 5 machines from them from a recommendation of another member on here who is at a local school. After seeing them in action and the 5 year warranties I felt it was worth a punt - no issues up to now since september so no complaints.
  17. Thanks Vic Our LA now has a copy of our DB to see if they can do anything with it. Data pulls in fine when not in tables - this is what I think is the issue. It's only happened since the 7.124 upgrade - I think 7.126 fixes the issue but I run SLG so need that upgrade to be released before I can do anything with SIMS. I have contemplated rolling back on a test server to at least to get this round of reports sorted anyway.
  18. I thought it was good. When I sky+ it it asked if I wanted to series link it, so I am hoping for more episodes to come.
  19. Do you use RM Auditor? That caused a similar issue here a number of years ago so I just removed it and never had any issues since.
  20. We've just had pizza delivered. All spot on, now for a few beers.
  21. I think we have one of these watchguard firewalls in a cupboard about at school. I'll have a look to see what model it is.
  22. ^^ I forgot to mention although its not available for internal use only this is something they are working on for the next release I believe.
  23. Edmodo will do the job your after and it has a look of facebook to it also. Edmodo - Free Private Microblogging For Education
  24. I've posted this on the supportnet site but thought I would post it here incase anybody has an idea of a fix. Theres quite a few of us on there with this issue! --------- We currently have been using Profiles for the past 12 months with no problems, we are in the middle of Year 11 reports and when I am trying to generate the reports to print - I am getting the following error when trying to review the report in Word. The document Profile of *****.xml cannot be opened because there are problems with the contents. Ambiguous cell mapping encountered. Possible missing paragraph element. elements are required before every Location: Line: 7963, Column: 29941 I have gone through the whole template deleting each subject one at a time and I am unable to find out which is causing the problem. Running the validate tags in word also comes up with no errors. Does anybody have any ideas - We were hoping to get the reports all printed and collated today which doesn't now seem likely. We are running 7.124 and Microsoft Office 2007 Thanks Andrew
