I'll be down on the 7:00 flight from Newcastle in the morning and back down again on the midnight express with Bossman et al on Friday night / saturday morning. See you all then.

We use Schoolcomms - good service and never had any issues with it, but will be looking for alternatives whilst at BETT to see if any of the others are any cheaper. Schoolcomms charge £300 for 5000 TXT's and with a school of 1550 (including staff) they don't last very long considering the school was closed all last week due to snow!

free spam? ^ Mean this for the whole of BETT not you BTW

Hi all I got this Sony e-Book reader for Christmas but will probably never use it so i've decided to sell it on. Sony PRS505 e-Book Reader RRP: £230 on eBay (end time 12-Jan-10 21:05:25 GMT) Just so you are aware I've set the reserve at £165. Any questions please ask. Thanks

We've been using it for about 3 months and only have 27 followers - must students / parents find out about school closures via TXT message and school news via the website or monthly newsletters. St. Bede's School (stbedes_school) on Twitter

Contact Promethean they will be able to send you it on a CD. -
I have a feeling this is a MAC OSX shortcut and not hardware dependant but you could try Hold down Apple key ⌘ + Shift + 3

Durham LA have also blocked this site for the reasons I am sure many of you are aware of at RBC level. For those schools wishing to have more info, please check the Durham Schools Extranet (the last time I looked it was working lol).

Everything working ICT wise.... Sent the first TXT to all staff and parents that the school was open at 7:15 for then to get into school and for an executive decision to be made that the carparks were impassable and that the school would have to close. So a second text was sent to advise that the school was now closed. Good news this afternoon is that a decision has been taking to close the school tomorrow also - awaiting a snow plough to return tomorrow to finish the clearing job. Further bad weather forecast for the rest of the week too.

We have 15 Samsung NC130's and not had any issues up to now, although we have only been using them for a couple of weeks.

I'd be interested to hear how you locked the eeePC's down and your script to rename and create a new SID as we have the eeePC's and RM Connector to setup in January.

BHO.DLL - anyone know why this is in "My Documents"

I would guess after deleting the file and then re-logging on to an infected workstation the file would reappear. I take it you have tried a full virus scan / adaware scan on a test PC to try this? -
Becta Home Access Scheme - any concrete information yet?
Sylv3r replied to Andie's topic in Budgets and Expenditure
If thats the case, some (all) I imagine will recommend the schools look after them -
Becta Home Access Scheme - any concrete information yet?
Sylv3r replied to Andie's topic in Budgets and Expenditure
The LA's that are running the schemes themselves - do they also support the machines - hardware / software issues, warranty repairs etc? And the opposite to the above - do the schools aggregation their own scheme are they responsible for the management and support of these devices? -
