  1. I use it and paid for the additional GB's - well worth the money.
  2. We currently have someone in on a Monday and Tuesday who is currently studying a Foundation degree at a local college.
  3. Interesting but pricey I imagine. I'll check it out at BETT though and see what it gives us.
  4. I had a quick search for this and couldn't find it so I thought I would stick it on the site. For those of you with small children or just like to joy christmas, check out this site for a personal message from santa claus. http://portablenorthpole.tv/home Pretty clever how they have done it.
  5. I am considering this as a replacement to BackupExec 11D also, I'd be interested also what people think of it.
  6. I would imagine its not legal but lets see what other people think.
  7. £4k for 3 years I think and its not internally hosted, its web based. The sef is completed by our staff using schoolcentre and is linked to the Ofsted website, and all information is uploaded when required.
  8. She possibly could be an emergency contact - auntie, next door neighbour etc for another student.
  9. Might be worth if you can, having a copy of your live sharepoint install on another box, if your only new to it rather then playing / working on the live site. That way, any problems you do cause will not reflect on your on the end user.
  10. I think Robocopy would be the solution I would go far as well.
  11. We use this School improvement | school lesson planning tools with schoolcentre.net But its clunky, expensive and not very good

  15. I'm not sure if I agree the job title matches the job, but it looks a very good job for the right person. Good luck to those applying on here.

  18. ParentEve.com Silly me!
  19. I have never used this or have no connection with the company, but this is something I looked at a while ago which may do the job for you.
  20. The new SLG Roadmap mentions an overall of design next year, so the look and feel may change for the better.
  21. I think I read on the supportnet that you needed to upgrade both at the same time, whereas other SLG sites have mentioned you can update SIMS prior to SLG. As we use SLG for attendance, assessment and profiles - its not worth the risk running one before the other for me if its going to cause issues.
  22. Cheers Michael I wait also, but I had heard conflicting stories saying it was fine to upgrade SIMS before SLG. I'll stick to waiting, as it saves all the hassle in the long run.
  23. I've heard it from various sources some say that the SIMS update should not be installed until the relevant SLG update is available but others say its fine then update SLG later. Can anybody confirm which of the above is true - the SIMS updates are generally released a week or two earlier then the SLG update and I just want to be sure that the webparts will still work as expected if SIMS database is newer than the released webparts. Thanks Andrew
  24. Hope you had a good day mate.
  25. Still using 2.0 with no issues - will probably look at upgrading in the summer.
