One is your ISP, the other is the wireless networks around you (the Bing and Google Maps cars are constantly recording triangulation of wifi networks for that purpose) Users can set their locations manually usually. It will fall back on your IP geolocation when there aren't other options. I'd suggest users set their location if they are that interested. Not entirely sure you want to geolocate your IP otherwise.

Honestly, it's just personal preference when it comes to interfaces. We are still in the middle of evaluating them (it takes a long time here) and I would honestly be happy with either product. For filtering there really is not much between them at all, if anything. It's really down to what products outside of that core filtering we're interested in. Those are decisions outside of my remit as I wouldn't be using those particular tools.

We did last Friday. Completely fell down, right as our new catering system was being installed. The backup line didn't kick in. To be fair to SBB/TS the fault was with the carrier as our main connection fell down, but the backup line was on them. Still haven't heard from those who handle it what the issue was with the backup line. When the connection works, it works well. When it goes down, it falls down hard. Still have massive misgivings over Netsweeper and it's qualities (or lack their of) though. So, we're looking at having an on-site open evening (with the caveat it might go online should infection rates increase in the area) We are thinking of offering a number of available slots per time and a number of times across the evening (So say 20 minute slots from 5pm to 8pm with a maximum of 10 families per 20 minute slot) Does anyone know of a free/cheap system that will let us do this? I've looked at things like Choice Eliminator 2 in Google Forms, but it's a little flakey at handling things like this. The crucial thing being that this is for new people, so isn't something we want linked to MIS or require some kind of school based login to use. What do you all use?

I don't know if it's possible, but I'm personally of the opinion that information should generally only flow one way, out of your MIS for things like that. That leaves your MIS as the source of truth, rather than writing back to it.

It's literally setting OUs as to whether all the users are over or under 18. By default everyone will be set as under 18, you just need to update the ones that are for over 18s. Really simple to do.
