hardtailstar Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 No Snow down in the south east of Kent yet but my mum is working in Chatham today and they have snow. It would start snowing straight after I post this!
hardtailstar Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 Just started snowing in Asford, Kent I see that too!
bushby Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 no snow in southampton but at home (winchester) when i woke up it was a white out XD
elsiegee40 Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 Nothing down the road in Hastings at the moment.. Don't get your hopes up. It lasted about 20 minutes and has stopped. I don't think we're going to get much more.
Greenbeast Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 I thought you were all crazy but i just looked out the window and it's certainly coming down!
6Foot2 Posted December 5, 2012 Author Posted December 5, 2012 Just started snowing [lightly but with large flakes] again here
pete Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 Remnants of snow in the night in sheltered areas while coming in this morning, most has melted though.
Ghostgame Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 Slight dusting of snow in the east of suffolk. Going to be gone by this afternoon
Ketlane Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 Main thing stopping it snowing is the Bursar's decision to buy a 4WD minibus to ensure that pupils can be bussed to school. 1
Norphy Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 There's a little bit of snow in Barnet where I live and a tiny bit more in Luton where I work. I managed to just about get to work on time leaving at my usual time but I don't have much company at the moment! There are quite a few accidents on the roads in the localish area, not least on the A6, the A505 and the M1.
Andrew_C Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 A few dustings in the hedges, but nothing else. Bound to bucket down at leaving time, as I haven't yet put a shovel in the boot as I do each year.
Scifigirl Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 been going from about 7.50 here- its nice to think i might be the only one not really bothered by it in this school
rad Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 Snow in High Wycombe but nothing in Hillingdon, very disappointed, a nice Wednesday off would of done nicely
HaleStorm Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 Snow in Sheffield...but not much, just enough so when it froze everything seems to be covered in a thin layer of doom
sjatkn Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 We had rain for most of the early evening and then it froze in to one large skating rink. I was surprised not to see any cars in ditches or hugging trees! I and several others nearly did ourselves a mischief getting out our cars, one foot in the car and the other sliding away from us across the car park.
bladedanny Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 Snow in Sheffield...but not much, just enough so when it froze everything seems to be covered in a thin layer of doom None in this part of Sheffield. Are you up in the higher parts of Sheffield?
arwen Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 Not very much of it in Dundee, where I live, but a good few inches of it in Laurencekirk (40ish miles away), where I work. Its been snowy there for the past 3 days, so we are starting to get a layer of ice underneath the snow now... great fun! There is a few mile stretch of the A90 that is concrete, which is like a death trap this morning. Cars and vans skidding about all over the place. I am not looking forward to the drive home, as its still snowing pretty heavily. School is open, but some of the school buses/transport is not running.
BassTech Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 Clear bule skies and sun in the West Midlands!
MattHarwood Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 Couple of inches here in Luton, school open but late. Many a teacher not in yet. Funny how I could get here fine (earlier than usual) and dig out the snow for an hour and a half, yet they're the ones caught in a "nightmare".
MatthewL Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 no snow in southampton but at home (winchester) when i woke up it was a white out XD How deep is it down there, I am due to come down tomorrow from Lincolnshire to Havant for a funeral, just want to be prepared.
Flatpackhamster Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 There's a pretty icing-sugar dusting on the high ground here, but nothing else.
HaleStorm Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 None in this part of Sheffield. Are you up in the higher parts of Sheffield? Yeah over in top side, Deepcar/Stocksbridge suns come out now and most of its gone, just patches of ice here and there
