Smoothwall - win 11 24H2 Authentication
bushby posted a topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
So since the 24H2 update released me and my team have been constantly having to revert the upgrade as we keep getting users needing to re authenticat with our on-prem box, initally web proxy auth was setup with ident by location (now changed due to Maiden upgrade) so changed ident by location to core authentication. and still got the reauth required. last night switched to negotiate kerberos/NTLM and still getting reauth anyone else had simular issues with this particular version of 11 -

wheelchairs are difficault to recommend as they all very in spec. for example my dad has 3 diffrent wheelchairs depending on the day for how he is (has MS and parkinsons) one is motorised, 1 is manual and the last one is a full on road legal mobility scooter (more like mobility tank) it would be best to go to a specalist and find the right type, and strength for weight

going to throw in my 2 cents, discord is not suitable for corparate use, this is due to its original target user base was communities for gaming and since the pandemic they then expanded to assit with remote learning. now on to the bot side, where does the bot sit (on your servers or else where) bots do fall over on discord all the time, even the large ones with premium funtions, the other aspect is the amount of spam bots that are on the platform, atleast once a week i get a bot DM me with spam, and i have no links to them either mutal friends or servers, now what would also happen if a member of staff adds a NSFW server to their work account (this does happen) how are you going to block this nsfw server.

all facilities staff have access to my server rooms across the trust, they need access in case of fire but also normally maintance access should be required eg AC maintance (source of legionaris, mold) fuse board safty checks. heck even on of my server rooms has a pump in the ground there as the school is located in a flood plain and yes that was needed in one of the lockdowns. the other thing to take into mind is what happens at night and there was a brake in and they had accessed the server room yet the facilities didnt have access to the room to ensure that it was secure. i have had server rooms direclty connected to rooms that have been broken into in the past

Ofsted Inspections - What IT resources are required?
bushby replied to enbiggen's topic in General Chat
inspection at one of my schools just before halfterm and only wifi access, but still ended up using hotspot as the connection kept dropping due to their location in the school -
we had a cctv cam with a 2N ip Verso (voip) setup and worked well, at one of our other schools they just have a closed loop video intercom

I have 2 HPD5000 printers, one is just a printer the other is card printer and laminator. Main one the with the laminator module is based in my office central trust office the other is at our main senior school with sixth form, alot quicker to get but have an annoying bug where they never stay online on the network simple repatch and ready to go again but there is alot of fine tuning on them to get the cards ace, I have also gone red neck and just put one of our card readers at the end to scan the card as it finishes printing/laminating. Just got to set up something to send the card details to me now

bushby replied to garethEds's topic in Thin Client and Virtual Machines
I would say look at what are the benefits of upgrading the systems. I would say ensure that your running powershell 5+ as then you can use Windows admin center. Just an update for 2012 R2 as we also done the same this week. @Mavch what's up with Wds and wsus both are under laying for sccm and all work fine on 2012 + -
