  1. I have also repaired Outlook, tried in safe mode, turned off addin's.
  2. Has anyone every reflashed a Lenovo tablet with its Android OS? It's locked to a MDM from a company that no longer exists, question is if I reflash it will it work or will it some how connect back to the MDM?
  3. Got a strange one that I cannot get to the bottom of. Outlook 365 classic, fully up to date on a Windows 10 machine (yes I know, it is what it is) when printing certain emails Outlook crashes. Nothing that I can see similar on the affected emails, have to crash out of Outlook but will still not print. Have recreated Outlook profile and it still does it, read various articles about trying virtual printers, deleteting certain files, no joy. I'm at a bit of a loss, any suggestions?
  4. Thanks for that, I am getting bad vibes about Stream from everything I've read and seen elsewhere, think I will stay with Q for the time being.
  5. If you say want to watch comething on Sky Witness where as on Q I would record it, with the playlist does it put all the episodes there for you to watch or do you have to go for each one? I just want to set my reminder and come to it later if that makes sense. I know the playlist the the new bit. I forget about things and there is a lot I like to watch but can never remember what channel its on hence I record and forget!
  6. Those who have steam how have you found going from been able to record to just streaming? I don't know anyone personally thats moved yet so cannot even go check it out. Big thing for me is recording then play back (without the ads!!!), does the stream option work for you? I like to put things in my planner and forget about them, do you think it would cause me issues or should I just stay put?
  7. I have a TV aerial put in when I moved in with aerials to each room so freeview is available. I'm in too minds what to do, what I have now works for me for the little TV I watch, if I was to go down the Now TV route for example I would need to get something to watch it on as I dont have anything at the minute as I watch everything through the Sky box and its apps.
  8. If your ISP will allow you can do a port and renumber request. In my situation I moved a FTTC to FTTP, as part of that they offered no voice, so I let them do the FTTP install which effectively cancels the number and on the same day put the port request in (the number is held for a week I believe) and it moved it over. I had a little downtime as the coppper line was taken out but the other circuit I had didn't take it out and the number remained live until sucessful port. I am about to do another but I will be having the FTTP intalled from a different ISP I will then cancel the other service and do the port at the same time on that one.
  9. Do not port your number till your new internet is running as it will cancel it. I have done 2 now where ported the number after the internet was swapped over with no issues.
  10. Anyone moved over to it yet? My contract is up and the price is going up by £8 to keep my traditional dish package to £52 and it could do down to £35 for their new steam. After thoughts on it? Other than the £39.95 initial delivery fee is it worth the move? I like recording things and playing back but now its all streamed. Is it more hassle moving and should I keep what I have an accept the cost?
  11. Not sure how its licensed as I've not been involved in that side of things.
  12. I have a number of Smoothwall as virtual machines at various sites working. Am I able to spin up another with to create another VM for testing purposes? We have inherited what we have over the years and I don't think right so wanted to start a fresh and see if we got the same issues.
  13. IMO a cable should be terminated to a patch panel and punched down and a socket or patch panel at the other end. Less to go wrong. I'm not a fan of having RJ45 ends on the end of a cable should be terminated and short patch cable used but I know this cannot always be done. Couplers should only be used where really needed, I have used these recently to put a fix into a broken cable that was run outside, far earlier than replacing the cable then entire length.
  14. Padded gilet/body warmer x 2 (one is a working/ripped one) Light gilet/body warmer Shower proof all weather coat with hood Light jacket (recent purchase) I think there might be one other on the peg but not sure off the top of my head Then I have my hoody so usually wear a mix of them and it gets me by.
  15. We have a company that provide us with a bit wheelie bin, collect most equipment but its for the metals in boards etc, they do charge but if you have enough it off sets the costs and sometime we end up with some money back.
  16. I've been a customer of PlusNet since I was on dial up in 2003, must be one of their oldest accounts these days, I moved the phone over to them a few years back when on FTTC and then migrated that elsewhere as FTTP was put in, had very little issues and the issues we did were not their fault but an Exchange fault. In 23 years I cannot fault them, local customer support, cheap but at times not always but the customer service factor won for me. My Dad has a basic package but serves his needs and I know he wont have any issues they are reliable so I dont have to worry about it going down for him. I put a second connection in at home when BT FTTP came here a few months back and its been solid too, my brothers on them as are friends back where my Dad is and I cannot grumble. I know at one point TalkTalk was cheaper but I knew I could rely on them for a solid service. Last I looked PlusNet were cheapest for FTTP for a semi decent package.
  17. If you can specify a URL for your locations you can use this one https://adamnetworks.dev/pub/fwaliases/raw/master/ips/whatsapp.txt then these ports a mix of TCP & UDP
  18. I used 24" Lenovo monitors that had it all built into the screen and you can daisy chain 2 monitors together and only have to have the USB cable to the laptop. What I did note was that there USB c cables are not all the same as some do not delivery power properly but we never had a need for more than 1.5m cables or what ever the standard was.
  19. I have always used Microsoft so have no experience when it comes to Google to seeking help here. We have a customer who appears to be locked out of their Google admin centre for workspace so unable to reset account password and get into one of them, passwords they have do not work and it appears the previous company that managed things no longer has any involvement so they have come to us for help. We cannot even get onto the domain to make DNS changes to verify for Google, can anyone sugguest any help? We do have 1 working email on that domain that can be used for verification but really need to get into the admin side of things.
  20. Thanks will have a look not software I've installed so not farmiliar with it.
  21. Does anyone have any experience of this VPN client? Is there a way you stop it updating the DNS servers on the LAN connection and leave the ones in specfiied?
  22. If you clone the disk it will do a like for like.
  23. Clonezilla just clone the disks.
  24. Had a few of these last week, just went into Word or Excel and ran updates and let it complete and it fixes it.
