My office has no window... weather forecast is for light to heavy snow with chance of precip heading upwards from 60% from 9am... I think I'll be in and out my office quite a bit today, shame I have to walk down the hill to the bus stop and have an hour or so journey to get home when we do shut (be that snow or end of day)

Same here , apart from the bus ride because I walk...but luckily i now have access to the external webcams including PTZ control so I can investigate the snow situation without getting up

Halfway through January and our first 'light dusting' of snow here. Not enough to stop anyone getting in or to close the school, but the Head announced this morning in briefing that if it snows again, '.......feel free to leave at 3 o'clock if you think you might have problems getting home'.

I can see the future, I see huge traffic-jams as 70-odd teachers head for the main-gate all at the same time......'just in case'.

Couple of inches round Lincs (the bits I see between home & work, anyway), and the Met Office forecast is slowly moving in the direction of less snow :(

Bit pointless it snowing this time of year anyway, they'll keep the school open no matter what for exams. Bah!

My bit of the world getting quite snowy now but no chance of the head closing the school he doesn't believe in it! (closing the school not snow:$)

Fortunately we have things called snowploughs and gritters in these here parts so no real problems getting into school for me. Some of the farm kids from higher up the Dales not made it though tractors managed the majority. Need snow to be significant before we close ...... actually ice causes more problems than snow with some of the steeper hills becoming impassable. Edited by SteveT

Coming down pretty think again here now, but roads were plenty fine earlier so I shall continue to sit in work and wish I was building a snowman at home with my daughter :(

Quite a bit through the rest of the day & tonight by what the Met Office are saying though...
