Morning all, My boss has asked me to look into the idea of having one centralised space where users can view availability of all of our meeting rooms that are on O365 without having to do anything. At the moment if someone wants to look at multiple rooms for availability, they've having to go to the Rooms section of their full Outlook client and add each room they're interested in, or add them to their Calendar Group for Rooms on O365. Is there any particularly easy way of doing this without using third party tools/a cost? I would assume that something could be done with Graph API but that isn't really my area of expertise

Morning all - I think the answer for this will be a straightforward 'no' but firing away As part of a new site being built with Teams Rooms compatible AV hardware being installed, we're trying to see if there's a way of importing calendar information from CELCAT (our timetabling solution for students) The idea is that these classrooms will have Teams Rooms hardware that will show calendar information with a resource account . We can obtain the calendar information from CELCAT by getting a web url for each room. However, when subscribing to the calendar with a Teams Rooms account (I've signed into the mailbox using OWA) it obviously creates a new calendar, and any hardware/user will only see their default calendar, which is not what we want Is there any real solution or workaround to this? I don't think changing the default calendar is possible, and anything like just copying the events won't work because calendar changes need to be seen in real time

Windows 10 Teams/Other MS Cloud Services Error - WAM 80080300
rickjames replied to petben's topic in Cloud Services
Done that, there's failures in the log section saying 'Strong Authentication Required'. Seems a bit weird, because up until yesterday they were fine; we haven't changed anything in relation to our MFA setup either. Thinking about it now I'm wondering if it's registry related. -
Windows 10 Teams/Other MS Cloud Services Error - WAM 80080300

Trying to decide if this issue I have is related to this MC I have a user who is unable to sign into Teams all of a sudden after being enrolled for MFA last week. When they open the application, they get this message. After clicking next, they then get this below The user does not get a code sent to their phone either. I have revoked any sessions as well as made them re-register for MFA, but it still seems to happen -
Morning all, Trying to delve into this a little further now that I have some time on my hands. Essentially, I'd like to focus on our naming policy for Groups, specifically around the custom blocked words and stopping students from creating inappropriately named groups (we're a creative university so we have to allow group collaboration). The issue so far is that when you upload a custom list it doesn't carry out any sub-string searches, from testing it seems anything like "[email protected]" can be easily worked around with "[email protected]" I've also connected to Azure AD and ran Get-AzureADDirectorySetting | ForEach Values and it's shown EnableMSStandardBlockedWords as false, which appears to by default. Is there any documentation anywhere where I can see a definitive list of these words? A Google search has proven fruitless... How do other places get around issues like this?

First place I used to work had branded polo shirts. If I were in the office (which I'm not and won't be for a long long time) then a Fred Perry polo, dark jeans suffices

As per the title really! - Access to the store is unchecked on O365 - Checked the Default Role Assignment Policy in Exchange Online and unchecked My ReadWriteMailbox Apps, My Marketplace Apps and My Custom Apps Made the 2nd change nearly 24 hours ago, but when I open up Outlook I can still click Get Add-Ins and download whatever I like. Any ideas where I'm going wrong with this? Because I'm stumped; acquiring Add-Ins elsewhere is disabled and works as it should do...

Coronavirus: General discussion (see opening post for rules)
rickjames replied to Dos_Box's topic in General Chat
Seems like the ball is starting to roll with our org and how what the 'new normal' will look like with working structure; I've loved WFH and would quite happily just stay as it is, but I suspect I'll be in the office for a day, maybe two, or hotdesking... -
Also here too. Great start to the day.

Ordered mine from MS and arrived yesterday. Not played too much yet, but transferring games over from my One S was painless (let Instant On do RDR2 overnight) Any suggestions for a 4k monitor? I'm torn between looking at something now, or waiting until something comes out next year that supports HDMI 2.1...

Morning all, We had an email passed onto us from last week where a student had both sent IMs and tried calling our University Secretary and Vice-Chancellor on Teams. Since this, we're wondering about what exactly we can put in place to prevent this from happening again and stopping students from contacting a particular set of staff (Govenors, HoCs, VCs etc); the only thing that I can think of that is possible would be to use Information Barriers and then a Scoped Directory Search, but this appears to require an A5 subscription (we are mostly A1 with a small amount of A3). And from also looking at the requirements, it's also a hell of a lot of work. Apart from the above, is there anything else we can do to achieve this? Setting up a messaging policy to prevent private chat for all students isn't feasible, and simply put I can't see anything obvious that would work. Hiding users doesn't seem to be a thing either... Cheers

Unable to use Exchange Online admin center
rickjames replied to rickjames's topic in Office Software
Raised the issue earlier in the week with MS, FWIW. Seems to be resolved now as of this morning. Was beyond frustrating though, didn't see anything about it in Service Health... -
I have been having issues today in both Edge and Chrome when attempting to use the Exchange Online admin center. I select a mailbox, but when hovering over something I wish to look at, it won't let me click on it., and the page fails to load any attributes. I have done the following. - Factory reset my browsers, and also reinstalled... - Signed in and out of Office 365 - Checked my permissions (I am a Global Admin) - Flushed my DNS - Used two different networks Here's what I'm seeing, as well as inspecting the element which gives me this Any ideas? Cause I am honestly rather stumped...
