Unfortunately we moved away from HAP in favour of Foldr and now use Spiceworks for Helpdesk across our MAT. Sorry I can't be any more help!

Does anyone know of a company who will collect old kit for free?
fairm010 replied to L3OUGH's topic in Green Computing
I use PRM, they say 30 items minimum for a free collection but they've done 20 odd for me before. -
We use Ubiquiti mFi too and as said above the controller has to run on a server. Shame as just migrated our Unifi controller to a 'Cloud Key' so would be useful if that could run mFi too!

I tried that, but I assume due to the solution i posted it encountered the same issue. - - - Updated - - - Yeah that. I use Ninite though, so just push it out with that.

Well it looks like this is resolved, thanks to @rad sending me down the right route. I downloaded the .exe which then downloads the stuff from the servers (What happened to good old proper installers?) and it kept failing. Did a traffic trace on the IP of my VM, white listed the Adobe IP, and now when you try going to any flash site it loads! Yay!
-
No, running Sophos here. @rad has got me a lead though, the exe fails to download the files, so just opening that up our filtering now. Also appears that Flash needs be authorized to run content on older pages now.

Logging in now to test that, but my inital thoughts are, doesnt Chrome have Flash built in? There should be no need to do that. Also, doing that on 200+ machines doesnt sound ideal!

Its been a long time since I posted on here, and typically I am at my whits end with this stupid issue. Logged in as any user, Google Chrome will not load any flash content on any site, reporting that either "download failed" or "Flash Player is out of date" This is on the latest release of Chrome (v55.0.2883.75 at time of writing). The chrome://plugins page reports flash has a critical security update, but when clicking the download button I get taken to a site that explains the process I just did. Ive tried all sorts, Uninstall and re-install Chrome, uninstall and re-install Flash PPAPI, throwing the VM into hot molten lava. Please help EduGeeks! Matt

[ipad] Easy way to transfer photos and videos from iPad
fairm010 replied to Zoom7000's topic in Mobile Devices & Tablets
We have just bought into Foldr having trialled it, our staff love it! Tried HAP+ but it isn't too friendly with iPads! -
Hi, only just seen this as havent been active on here recently. Do you still need help with this?

This. HDD's are being replaced with SSD's so they just get a hammer / drill bit to the platter.

PaperCut Print Management, what do I need to know?
fairm010 replied to fairm010's topic in Network and Classroom Management
Thanks very much, I've passed that onto our SBM! -
Hi all, its been quite a while since I posted on here, life takes over sometimes! We are looking into Papercut NG here, to get hold of what we are printing and reduce costs. Please can people share their experiences with Papercut, list anything I need to know before buying into it, and lastly report any savings in printing you have seen? Much appreciated, thank you very much! Matt
