Hello Everyone,

My name is Janice, I am the Manager, Educational Technology for a school district in Lower Hudson Westchester NY. I love see how students learn with the integration of technology. I am not a trained technician. I came into technology via using computers in my classroom. However, I love learning about new technology and how they are used. I do a little troubleshooting, but leave the big tech issues to my technicians.

Hope everyone is doing well. Looking to learn from all you techs. :)

Hello and welcome to Edugeek :welcome: Good to have another member from the USA :)

Most of our traffic used to come from the US, I'm sure it still does. We'd be the only site that lets you get to the answer without obtrusive ads or having to sign up first.

There are a few US dedicated threads. It's nice to hear how things work over the pond, particularly with regards to control of software at district level. I'm particularly interested in the MIS (SIS/SMS) in use.

:welcome:

Hi All,

I'm Gavin. Long time lurker, first time poster. Currently I am a computer tech / junior network admin at a school of 1000 students in Cairns, QLD Australia. This is my first school job. As of the last 8 weeks I have been performing this job on my own while my colleague is on long service leave / maternity leave.

Edugeek has been a good source of information for various projects I've worked on while at this school. It helped me come up with a way to control an exam environment, as well as various pieces of software that had to be deployed via SCCM (Java grr:mad:). I hope to have enough time to help give back to the edugeek community in some way.

Hello Edugeek :)

My name is Mic Sanderson. I've been on the forum for 10 years in various roles within Schools, Academies and Advanced Learning, and now Impero Software. As I have changed roles and companies, I have created a new account which I can brand etc.

I will still use my old account for personal use of Edugeek from time to time, as I do like to get stuck in with various threads.

If any one should need to contact me regarding Impero, I will be here as a presence along with the current team and will monitor Impero related threads.

Nice to be back.

Mic

Not only that, he might need a very strong hard hat too. There should be a direct support forum on here for impero users a bit like the smoothwall one.

Hi all, I'm Tim and have recently joined Overnet Data who sponsor the VLP thread, so that's where I'll be most active. If you're looking at a managed Moodle solution I'll be happy to advise. I might also lurk the gaming and movie threads in the general forum ;)
