DarrellR Posted June 10, 2016 Posted June 10, 2016 Afternoon All I'm Darrell and im looking to join in conversations around Google Apps for Education (GAfE) and consult with people about all aspects of deployment strategy surrounding new technologies. I come from a solutions integration background having worked with a number of schools over the years on integrating iOS into classrooms and implementing change management strategy. I work for Haptic as a GAfE solutions specialist and as well as being an Apple Tech Coordinator, I have also now become a Google certified Educator on the road to becoming a Google Trainer. I've got a little 2.5 yo boy who keeps me busy, but when I'm not keeping him entertained, I'm either playing Rugby or attempting to get better at League of Legends (Jungler main and Mid alt). I would go back to an MMORPG but haven't found one that beats vanilla Anarchy Online yet. Thanks Darrell Raynard

I have had a couple of other user names when Thomas Computer Supplies LTD was still about and when I worked with the lovely @ICTDirect_Dave & John @ ICT Direct. I took a couple of years off to have my little boy who is now 2.5 and although I now work for a stationery company and dont really deal with IT stuff, I still like to come on Edugeek for a nosey at what your all upto! Joined after seeing a post directed this way concerning Progress 8, hoping in all honesty to steal other peoples ideas and develop them into something useable within the trust.

I'm an IT Technician based at a secondary school in Reading, but support primary schools too. Been in IT Education (schools/colleges) since 2008... still 'surviving'! Have a wide IT skill set, but like to specialise in Exchange, safeguarding and (attempting) quota management/IT policies. Will contribute accordingly when time allows

Nice to meet another 2008er, started in Education IT at the end of 2008 myself. Took me a while to get used to some of the differences from Business IT environment. Just so you are aware at the moment some of the different areas here are trying to organise their own little get together for a lunch on a weekend. I'm actually just interested in technology (I started studying for the A+ exams here in America, but the awful memorization requirements of dates and stuff made me change my mind) and applied because I bought a projector then broke it myself, but I'll help with my limited computer training whenever possible.

My boss (@fiza) recommended I bookmark the site, and since then, I've been lurking and using these forums for whatever advice I can get! I'm currently in my first job in IT as an apprentice IT technician, 4 days at work and 1 day at college. I'm really liking it so far!
