We also had IRIS, but again - getting people to use it was difficult. Wasn't our choice, but we had to support it. Barely had it 6 months before it was removed; I think the other issue was that teachers didn't like being recorded. Whether that's because they were worried about their teaching methods or other reasons, I wouldn't know.

Replaced speaker and amp system for a local primary school as the AV company were going to charge a fair bit of money! Had fun with the drilling part of things (haven't had to do this before in any of my IT jobs, now worried that word will get around and my services will be in demand). We use Spiceworks - staff send an e-mail to a particular address, and it auto-forwards to a call-logging queue. We don't have a priority system either, but generally: 1 - Headteacher/HT PA 2 - Finance 3 - Deputy/Assistant Heads, teachers (inc. IT), students Unfortunately we have one member of IT who claims they are better than us and believes they can skip the queue. Constant problem. They are so rude, especially to me being a female (it's nothing I can't handle, don't worry - and nothing really I can report about... yet). Software requests - as much notice as possible. We need to test the software to see if it works etc (although the rule was broken just this week when someone got some software, didn't consult us, Business Manager didn't flag it like they usually do and then we got 'We need this working. Now.')...

I think the biggest limitation you've got is Exchange 2007, as the Powershell commands won't work in 2007 (they work from 2010 onwards). How do you want your permissions set up firstly - do you want it to be a free-for-all, where everyone can write to it, or do you want to lock it down so that they can only review it. If the latter, I'd recommend what I mentioned above, of having one/two people who can add/modify the calendar. This is what I sent out to staff to let them know how they could access the calendar. Sounds like permissions on the folder/share where something hasn't replicated throughout. Permissions isn't my strong point, but it may be worth checking 'Replace all child object permissions entries with inheritable permission entries from this object' (unless disabled inheritance is present and you've got customised permissions on that folder). (Properties of the folder > Security tab > Advanced)

Old, but still relevant. The amount of games I've got in sales and how many I've actually played is actually quite embarrassing. I'm trying to stay clear this year (although if there's a Steam badge I may reconsider).

We used to use Public Folders but this became a nightmare when we tried to move them from Exchange 2010 > 2013. I created a separate mailbox (user/room) called 'School Calendar' which users can find/open through 'Open Shared Calendar'. Seems to work fine, haven't heard any complaints - it's been in use for a year now. Everyone has 'Reviewer' and one person has 'Editor' access.

The only suitable answer was 20+. Anything less and I'd be trying to lie to myself.

We've only used the Teacher App briefly - the only thing I can think of is how are your devices authenticating, e.g. Office 365 (and is that e-mail address is the same as your Apple ID?) I emailed [email protected] when the app was first rolled out, but not sure if the support has been redirected to ESD/1st line.
