So... according to the anti-vax/anti-mask/"covid is all a plot by the gubmint" :tinfoil3: brigade, those who have had a shot will be "shedding" the vaccine, "infecting" those free thinkers who know The Truth and causing miscarriages, death and who knows what other evils. Their solution? Wear masks and socially distance.

 

That does sound like something I'd invent to get them to do what I want anyway. Inventing conspiracies is a great way to control people after all.

Maybe they should have announced an "Indian" variant earlier. Bonus Daughter#2, who has previously been somewhat "I know best" about regulations, seems to be taking things much more seriously now.

I have been invited to take part in King’s College London research by the ZOE app - the COVID Symptom Study Biobank.

 

The aim of the CSS Biobank is to gather and analyse biological samples from thousands of people to understand why some experience COVID-19 more severely than others and why others have no symptoms.

 

The CSS Biobank will request biological samples from you, such as blood and stool. This is done from the comfort of your own home and returned in the post. They’ll give you full instructions on how to do it.

 

King’s College London researchers will carry out a range of tests on these samples, including looking for antibodies produced by the immune system against the coronavirus that causes COVID-19. They’ll share with you all relevant results of any studies you choose to take part in.

 

Exactly how many tests I choose to take part in is up to me. After reading it all through, I have decided I will participate. They say participation is by invitation only, so I can’t post a link.

Caution has been thrown to the wind

 

 

I have had a haircut !!!!!

 

 

 

Went to a different barber - amazingly not a turk in sight - didn;t know they still existed

 

Nice young lady just cut my hair

 

no setting ears on fire

 

no exaggerated flourishes with scissors

 

no fancy lotions

 

Just a hair cut - and lots of cleaning and spraying of stuff

 

 

I'll go there again!

 

 

Oh - to top it all - we have a table booked in a local pub/restaurant tomorrow night

Coughing and wheezing due to asthma flare up after nothing bar a couple of allergy related flare ups in 40 years. GP recommended Covid test. All very smooth as a process, but got invited into a research project, so had 2 LFTs with nose only swab and one PCR, throat and nose. LFT's negative, hopefully PCR result confirms the same shortly, otherwise won't look good for LFTs!

Had second jab yesterday, hasn't been 24 hours yet but the effects are the same as the first just milder.

 

I have mine on Thursday evening. I hope I have little or no reaction as I have a 6.30am start next morning!

I had a headache for about 24 hours after I had my second jab (pfizer) but overall, side effects were a lot less severe than they were after the first jab for me.

Had my second jab brought forward to only an 8 week gap, instead of 12. The new appointment didn't work for me--someone in the office was already off--so rang up to rearrange and said I could do the Monday that week (instead of the Thursday) only to be told they "can't bring it forward".

by 4 weeks

 

and that's still 4 weeks longer between doses than the manufacturer's recommendation

So anyway, my new appointment is for the Monday after the rescheduled Thursday.

Had my second Saturday. The needle hurt MUCH more than last time and my arm is much more sore. Other than that - just a bit tired but that may or may not be related

I had my first jab on Saturday am, Moderna. As the day went on my upper arm was sore and if I rolled onto it in the night it woke me up. Had a lovely nap on Saturday afternoon, not sure if that was because of the jab or not. Edited by Danp
