  2. is the switch tagged on the server vlan ?
  3. Are you using a proxy ? If so use this command in cmd to import the proxy so win update can see it , this fixed it for us Netsh winhttp import proxy source =ie Then restart the update service
  4. We went with a synology rackstation , we use it for IT Support storage and some backups

  6. We use Redstor , It’s simple to use , agent installed on each vm and we have the management console installed on a separate VM Edit: Haven’t looked into there backup for cloud based systems , only on prem then backup to the cloud
  7. Is your Raid array healthy? , we had this on hyper-v when a VM Array had a failing Disk
  8. Is there multiple ports on the host , if so couldn’t you use a bridge port ? Or setup Up routing and remote access on the DC to do NAT between the two networks

  10. I think the hyper v switch is listed in the adapters part of network settings in control panel
  11. I’m guessing these macs are for music ? Also logic or GarageBand are being used? I use studio one on windows it is very Similar to logic / garage , I’ve used most Daws and I’ve gotta say studio one is great ! Edit: Grammer

  15. Yeah I agree we increased our test direct access server up to two cores today and instantly saw improvement

  18. We are not much bigger than a primary , we went hyper v over VMware , we went for a full install of server 2016 and have around 20ish vms and I’m glad I went down the hyper v route , especially now with windows admin centre it is so easy to manage
  19. Just looking at potential job lists for the summer. I’m currently running server 2016 on the majority of my vms, any new ones I’ve spun up have been 2019, do you think it is worth upgrading all of them to 2019 or is it worth the wait till the next major Windows server release? Thanks
  20. Using volume shadow copy for files etc , then using redstor for vm backups
  21. Redstor is amazing , use it to backup our entire Hyper v infrastructure , no complaints here I don’t find the pricing to bad neither

  23. Mid sized secondary, Single dl380 g10 , 2x Xeon 4114, 128gb ram , all local storage around 4tb (raid 6) with a 240 boot drive (raid 1) , Running server 2016 gui with around 20 vms Backup is done via a cloud solution with a client on every vm and then a management console on our management vm
  24. We use unifi , about 30 aps really good system , only complaint I have is our gen1 cloud key what crashes every other week.
