  1. As a temporary fix you could deploy them via a script , we was having the same issue as you , so we switched to deploying them via a script while we looked into the issue . We also added a icon to the users desktop which would re run the script if they were still having issues.

Ive got a linksys, believe its one of the wrt models. for dhcp failover you have to have two dhcp servers most people install them on there domain controllers,and then in the mmc console you would set up a dhcp failover relationship for your scopes my home hyper-v server runs windows server 2019 datacenter (Gui) with the hyper-v role installed, I have around 9 virtual machines on it, the hardware is a Hp proliant dl360e gen8 with 24gb of ram and a single xeonn e5-2450L and two 1tb hard drive in a raid1 config

I don’t think you can change the ip range on the superhub from its default one , what I did was buy a decent router and turn modem mode so it’s just passing the connection to my router, then I disabled dhcp on the router and set it up on my two domain controllers with failover, I guess u could spin up a virtual pfsense box and put your vms behind that network

    Definitely would look to be cloud based if the user level is low , ms office 365 would be the way to go

  6. I alternate between my dell vostro and my MacBook Pro 2018 model , do prefer the vostro
  7. could set him a standalone machine up with virtualbox and let him play around with Servers Etc

  10. Where is your dns located, on your domain controller? , or is it a dedicated server, you have consider your end users while doing this and the downtime you will have, probably best to do it out of production hours as your dns is a critical infrastructure component

  12. Do you have adobe CC? ,We had slow downs when a large number of students were syncing files to adobe cloud
  13. We don't use it in school, but i can say from personal experience fl studio is a good daw.

  15. We Built out a new hyper-v host last year , dl380 gen10, hosts all of our vms on a raid 6 array , so glad i didn't go down the san route
  16. Stone for new desktops, ICT Direct for when i need refurb machines and laptops and BT business direct for all other stuff
  17. That sounds like a good way to go, with that budget if it is only a year old
  18. Could you go with a refurb server or maybe even make it a vm ?
  19. I Believe It hasn't been developed in good while , all though i know a few schools who have been using it with no complaints
