I want to create a screensaver that I can deploy to devices (ideally without using GPOs, as we have a general screen lockout deployed for other machines) Does anyone know of a method of creating a .SCR file that I can upload using ManageEngine which just loads all images in a network shared location? I'm using InfraView which does to some extent but everytime a new file is added I would need to recreate the screensaver whereas it would be nice if it just picked up all images in x location and automatically added it to the list of images that are played on the screensaver. All great suggestions thanks guys! Sent a couple of emails out requesting quotes.

IT equipment / hardware, laptops/desktops/accessories etc.

I've been asked to find an alternative to our current supplier, mainly for price comparisons etc. Who do you use? I'm based in Essex (just in case the one you happen to use isn't UK wide)

I wish and I'll take a look at those links, thanks!

Good afternoon all, Had a request come in for a 3 monitor setup on a mac mini (which technically only supports 2 monitors) from the MD - has anyone had any experiences getting a 3 monitor setup on the mac mini? A brief look into it seems like I could use USB to VGA but I feel the potential degredation of quality might be too much for him. Any ideas?

The issue you'll find Mr Butters, is that implies Google will ever make an improvement on YouTube! There isn't any simple solution and it's very much a case of what causes the least hassle. There are potential workarounds but none that will resolve all of your issues. You could potentially disable restricted mode and block all of YouTube and only allow through specific videos but that sound incredibly tedious and doesn't really solve any of your issues, just circumvents them.

Even IF you need it, I feel like having it disabled is the lesser of two evils, there are always alternatives to repair.

We have just blocked for all students up until Sixth Form in the past, if a YouTube video was required for homework the teachers would send the youtube link via the school mailing system. If the video was needed for a lesson we would download the video and place it in a shared folder for the students to access. It's a tricky situation, you could always look at whitelisting certain videos?

Will take a look at all these suggestions, cheers guys!

Any luck with my workaround?

Is there any harm in reverting one of the Macs to a slightly older version (or just an older version of Safari)? If you can signal it out to being a version issue then I think your troubleshooting would be easier, it doesn't necessarily sound like a network related issue, considering the fact that other devices and browsers are working. I know it sounds like a basic solution but have you tried clearing Google's cached cookies, there is a myriad of potential solutions I guess it's about finding the right one for you.

I'm having some trouble, I have a very limited amount of space and need to find a way to maximize my space... I've got an entire corner of the storeroom dedicated to throwing out old equipment (just waiting for the heavy lifters to make an appearance!) But what sort of solutions do you have in place for storage? I've currently got old Royal Mail boxes that are intended for letter packs and are currently being used to store various items. I don't really have any specifics for you, just looking at potential storage solutions. Any input is appreciated!
