I meant is it a type 1 hypervisor on windows 10 or is it a type 2 hypervisor like VMware workstation, apologies for any confusion, as I know its a type 1 hypervisor on windows Server
-
Google isn't helping today... I Know that hyper v on windows server modifies the bootloader when the role is installed and turns the host into something similar to a vm, Is this the case with windows 10 hyper v or is it more of a type 2 hypervisor Just wondering out curiosity

Is the hardware 6 months old ? Or is it just a fresh os install ,seems a bit weird that slt want to go that route if the hardware is brand new if they are aware of it

BT Business Direct - OVS Agreement Anniversary nightmare
Jcx500 replied to bodminman's topic in Licensing Questions
Maybe stone Computers , we haven’t been able to get through to bt buisness direct as well although it was a different issue -
We are using the AC Pro's, Yes you can have the controller in the cloud or on premises on something called a cloud key which is just a Debian box or you can run it on a windows or Linux machine
-
Another one for Unifi, We had it for nearly 3 years and only have had one issue with it that was due to the controller playing up , other than that I wouldn’t recommend another system for a primary school. We are on 26 aps now We also still use the Aruba switches
-
Got Ours from Bt Business Direct in the 5 pack version

What Software or Hardware is this on? Edit: Can see its in the MIS Forum so what mis are you using?
-
we are running out of Ram, we are using 115 out of 128 at the moment, but cpu and storage work just fine
-
Yeah it is , we was looking at getting a smaller sized host to run our less critical vm's
-
Everything from Domain Controllers to Finance and Mis Systems and our remote desktop environment and various over Vm's Specs are 128gb Ram and dual xeon 4114's
-
128gb of ram and dual xeon 4114's
-
I Heard they was for the shorter branch lines too
-
So, We are running 26 vm's on our host now, I'm thinking more ram or maybe get a refurbished host ?

Protecting Computer Rooms From Damage
Jcx500 replied to AssassinLynx's topic in Network and Classroom Management
We have cameras in all IT Suites, We do a daily check to make sure equipment is working correctly, If teachers don't monitor damage or report it. Its simple Go to SLT and explain the problem and get them to work alongside you in telling teachers that they should be monitoring there classes, We use impero to monitor activity in IT Classrooms I'm not sure if it stops use without the teacher present tho
